I cannot recommend Tastebuds Caribbean BBQ enough! I hired them to cater my wedding, and they absolutely did not disappoint!
The jerk chicken had the perfect amount of spice, the brisket was SO moist, and although I didn’t personally get a chance to try the mac and cheese, my husband and guests absolutely loved it. But their watermelon salad?! Next level. 😂 I honestly didn’t really know what to expect, but WOW.
To set the picture, the next day I kept getting the usual “Congratulations!”, “How does it feel being a wife now?”, “Everything last night was so lovely!” — and then, without fail, somehow the conversation would turn into, “Oh, and what about that watermelon salad?!” 😂
No joke, I had that conversation with almost every family member. My dad’s girlfriend even told me that he woke up at 3 a.m. and said, “I think I’m gonna go have some more watermelon salad.” 😂 That pretty much sums up how good it was!
And let me talk about the portions because WOW. We had a small wedding with 45 people — 35 adults and 10 kids. I ordered dinner for 35 people, and their portions were HUGE. We were able to send leftovers home with all of the cousins and still had plenty left for ourselves. I was genuinely so impressed with the quantity of food, especially for the price.
Another important thing I want to mention is how amazing they were throughout the entire process. We communicated entirely through email while getting everything set up, and they were always so quick to respond, incredibly helpful, and happy to answer every question I had. Planning a wedding can be stressful enough, so having a caterer who was easy to communicate with made such a difference.
And lastly, they were AWESOME when they delivered the food. They do offer the option to have them serve the buffet, but I was working with a stricter budget and opted to have our guests serve themselves. Even with that, they came in and set up the entire buffet for us, including the few extra sides that we had made ourselves. They made everything so smooth and seamless, which I truly appreciated because I had a million other things going on that day.
From the food, to the portions, to the communication, to the delivery and setup, Tastebuds Caribbean BBQ was absolutely fantastic. They made one less thing for us to worry about on our wedding day, and our guests are STILL talking about the food — especially that watermelon salad! 😂
If you’re looking for a caterer for your wedding or any special event, I would 100% recommend Tastebuds Caribbean BBQ. We were so happy with our experience, and I would happily hire them again in a heartbeat! ❤️ -

We were thrilled to have Tastebuds cater our wedding reception this past weekend! From the very first inquiry we sent until they packed up our leftovers on the big day, everything was absolutely seamless. They had wonderful, consistent communication throughout and helped us figure out our menu perfectly within our budget, between $35-$40 per person. We and our guests were blown away both by the portion sizes and incredible flavor of every single thing. We offered our guests a choice of main protein (Jerk chicken, BBQ chicken, smoked tofu, curry goat, and oxtail) and everyone could choose any or all sides (mac & cheese, cornbread, coleslaw, and rice and peas). I heard rave reviews about every protein and side, with special emphasis on the cornbread, and we had a lot of guests VERY familiar with Caribbean cuisine. Tastebuds got their buffet set up efficiently and left everything perfectly clean when they left. It was a perfect and delicious part of our perfect day. Thank you SO much, Tastebuds!

We had Stephen and Heather cater our wedding this past weekend and WOW. From the first conversation to the night of the wedding they were amazing to deal with. They made everything so easy and stress free because they are extremely good at what they do. They were so organized they had the set up and food out in no time. I had no worries whatsoever that they would do a great job and I was correct. We chose to have the Brisket, Jerk Chicken, Oxtail, Mac n cheese, Baked Beans, Rice and Peas, Roasted Potatoes, Watermelon Salad, Coleslaw and Grilled Pineapple, it was a feast to be remembered. It was DELICIOUS and our guests have been raving about it. I heard several times that it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding, we were able to have a huge crowd over the next day to enjoy the leftovers and we heard the same great things again . Tastebuds Caribbean catered our backyard wedding and they were absolutely incredible. The food was to die for, we had many guests say it’s the best wedding buffet they’d ever had, and the service was the cherry on top. They were prompt to communicate with, timely for set up and take down, and personally came to make sure we had enjoyed every single bite. We would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a mouth watering Caribbean BBQ! -

Tastebuds provided the catering for our outdoor June wedding. Our experience with Tastebuds was very positive. My partner and I were very impressed with their professionalism from start to finish. Stephen and Heather are prompt to respond to inquiries, offer helpful suggestions, and are excellent at problem solving. Our venue did not have many amenities, as we were outdoors, and Tastebuds were completely self sufficient. The buffet style dinner service went off without a hitch. The food was absolutely fabulous - everyone we spoke to at our wedding was raving about it! And the service was excellent. I will happily recommend Tastebuds to anyone who needs catering. To say they made our day a little more special would be an understatement - they blew us away! -

We had Stephen and his crew from Tastebuds cater our son’s wedding and words can not bring justice to the support provided in making this day special for all of us.
They were; professional and courteous through the process from our initial inquiry to the wedding day; punctual, budget friendly; top notch service; the brisket and chicken was exceptional, flavourful and guests went up for thirds. All of the wedding guests loved the food and how friendly everyone was.
I would recommend Tastebuds for any special occasion big or small!
