I have been a part of Victoria's food scene for many years, working as a cook, baker and cake decorator. I got my start at the Dominion Hotel where I was given the opportunity to go to Culinary school at Camosun College. After completion, I spent the next years feeding my hunger for knowledge and building many great relationships along the way. I found myself among some of the most inspired cooks and chefs working in some great hotels to include the Laurel Point Inn and The Delta Ocean Pointe. I was given the great privilege to take over as the head cake decorator at the Swedish Bakery when the owner, Ingmar decided to retire. This would be the seed, and the idea to create my very own bakery and cake decorating business was firmly planted! As my business has grown over the years I find inspiration from my clients and I am always excited to hear new ideas and work with venue operators like Hatley Castle. As a creative person, this has been such an amazing journey and when people ask me why I love to bake so much I simply tell them that I have found my passion! The natural world is full of beauty and replicating it in sugar has been a great source of happiness for me. I look forward to hearing from new clients and getting started on helping to design their dream day.
