The Vancouver Golf Club

The Vancouver Golf Club is a banquet hall wedding venue located in Coquitlam, British Columbia. Nestled among a splendid 18-hole course, couples are free to enjoy a range of celebrations at this location, including the ceremony and the reception. With ample interiors and almost 180 acres of outdoors available, a variety of different-sized events can take place here.

Facilities and Capacity

Surely, there are few better places to tie the knot than at this marvelously architected course defined by smooth greens, long fairways, and beautiful surroundings. A tent can be erected on site for the happy couple to join in a matrimonial union as their nearest and dearest share the moment. Chairs, an aisle, and a floral arbor can easily be arranged to add to the momentous event. Alternatively, an indoor area featuring a warm and inviting fireplace can be chosen as the place to begin your start to married life. Defined by hardwood floors and ample space for guest seating, it makes for a beautifully romantic place to say “I do”. Alternatively, a patio area can be set aside with views of the trees. As for the reception, The Vancouver Golf Club boasts multiple spaces to host late-night revelries and important party moments.

The Coquitlam Room is the largest interior event area available as it can welcome approximately 225 people for a cocktail hour. When the time comes for the all-important meal, 175 invitees can comfortably be seated as dishes are plated up. A showpiece fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an abundance of elegance radiate throughout this room. When divided up, it becomes two separate banquet areas, the Fire Side and Deckside rooms. Another space that would suit more intimate celebrations is the President’s Lounge which can accommodate approximately 32 people.

Services Offered

The banquet manager is available to lead the event-planning service offered by The Vancouver Golf Club. Their aim is to create an experience that is truly unforgettable for everyone to enjoy. As such, outside vendors are welcome on site so that the day can be suitably customized. Onsite catering is provided, and a delightful array of dishes inspired by places near and far can be expertly prepared to please palates. Champagne, beer, and wine elevate the culinary experience further still. Event rentals such as tables, chairs, tents, centrepieces, and more can all be provided.

History

Nine holes of this golf club were officially opened in 1911 after five people set up the venture. Eventually, the back nine were designed for the Vancouver Golf and Country Club. Decades later, the name was slightly changed to represent what it is today. Now, this venue hosts several functions, and weddings are an integral focus of the work they do.
