Perfect Wedding Venue

We had an amazing experience from start to finish and would highly recommend this venue. The location was perfect for us being by the water, and close to home. Heather and Chad were great to work with; helped to ensure the planning was stress free and steered us in the right direction when we needed help making decisions.
Our wedding was small, with only 30 people, and the upstairs room and terrace was perfect, providing an intimate setting and convenient one-stop location for the ceremony, reception, dinner and dancing. The food and dinner service was excellent. We were able to go offsite and take photographs by the water during the reception which was an added bonus to choosing this location. Thank you to all of the staff at The Lake House for ensuring our special day was perfect.

Celebration of life fail

Nice venue but very disappointed by the catered food when we had them cater my Mother's Celebration of Life.
A number of failures:
Small amount of desserts were gone in no time and not replenished
"Imported cheeses and home made cookies" appeared to be store bought
Coffee urn went missing
The small container of dip with the veggie platter emptied quick and was not replaced
The tea sandwiches were poor - no one even wanted to take home the leftovers!
The bartender was grinding for tips even though a 15% gratuity was included in the bar tab.

Celebration of life

The Lake House Liverpool Rd Pickering. Beautiful view on the water, horrible food. I’m pretty sure our deli or tea sandwiches were hot dog buns cut in thirds. Our vegetable tray ran out of dip, and it was never replaced. The rice crackers were stale. The imported cheeses we were sure was a block of cheese bought at the local grocery store and cut up. The dessert tray had store bought hard chocolate chip cookies, and a Nanaimo bar probably from M&Ms cut up. Lots of hot dog bun sandwiches left at the end, but no fruit or desserts. 🤔
Never going back.

Food was the worst I have ever had at catered event

Imported cheese brick from grocery store. Stale crackers. Vegetable plater, small dish dipp never refilled. Only small amount of sweets. Fruit cut and plainly layer in rows. Not professional looking at all. Sandwiches not great fillings bland. Napkins not put out until an hour after food. $33. Per person I would be ashamed to have put that out and call myself professional!

August 27 Wedding

We can’t thank Paul and Chad enough for the great job they did in making our day the best day ever! Everything went very smoothly and Paul did a great job stepping in when Chad was not able to make it on the actual day. The food was amazing and all of our guests had such a great time. Everyone kept commenting on how beautiful the venue was all day. We would definitely recommend this spot to any family our friends looking to have events in the future!

Lake House Wedding Luz & Ryan 8-22-22

Location is conveniently surrounded by marina, boats, beach and lake view for photo shooting. Food is excellent, all the guests enjoyed everything. Venue management, Chad, servers and bartender, Tristan we're all professional. Thank you Paul Shannon for the wonderful experience at the Lake House for our recent wedding 8-22-22! We had excellent compliments from our family, friends and colleagues. Definitely will refer the Lake House for any occasions. Our lifetime memory to pass on to our children and grandchildren.

Beautiful Evening

We had our wedding at the Lake House this past weekend. Paul, the owner, and Chad, the General Manager, were awesome. They were both very easy to talk to and super accommodating and understanding of the fact that we had no idea how to plan a wedding.

Chad was our Coordinator the day-of. He was so relaxed and patient, and answered all of my silly last minute questions. I was able to keep calm and enjoy myself knowing that we were in good hands. My entire family loved working, and even just chatting, with Chad.

Finally, the view from the venue, and especially that gorgeous balcony, can not be beat. We had about 60 guests, and had more than enough room while still feeling intimate, and the sun setting behind the archway was so dreamy! I’d highly recommend the Lakehouse, Paul, Chad, and their entire staff. Well done!

My daughter's wedding

My daughter's wedding was on September 24th 2021. Everything from the venue to the service was excellent. The guests were raving about the food especially the maple-glazed salmon. Huge thank you to Paul and the rest of the staff.

Overall Great

We were somewhat hesitant given a few negative reviews, but thankfully our day went off without a hitch and we are so pleased. We spoke exclusively with Paul and he answered all our questions and was flexible with us setting up two mornings in advance of our wedding. Chad ended up being on the day of our wedding and though we hardly saw him, he was friendly and was here and there during the festivities to watch over them. We booked just three months out after our original venue canceled due to the pandemic, so we were very happy when the food served was all cooked perfectly and brought out in excellent time. The outdoor terrace is stunning for photos, and on non-humid days is absolutely wonderful! The algae showed up due to the intense hot summer, but we hardly noticed. ;)

Bridal Shower

Had my bridal shower here. It was rescheduled 3 times due to covid. I was pleasantly surprised at how accommodating they were. Not only did they not charge us for moving the date 3 times, they also did not increase their prices. We had significantly less people than what was agreed (due to the 50 gathering limit). They did not charge us more despite the changes. They were extremely flexible. For the price, service and incredible view, I highly recommend.
