We fell in love with The Knox Wedding Venue the moment we saw it. The venue is a beautifully renovated building that blends small-town charm with elegant, modern touches. It offers a stunning backdrop on its own, yet still provides an open, clean palette that any bride can make her own and style however she wishes.
One of the biggest reasons we chose The Knox was the freedom it gave us. We were able to create the wedding of our dreams exactly the way we envisioned it, from selecting our own caterers and bar service to choosing our florals, décor, and music. Nothing was restricted, unlike many venues that require in-house food, alcohol, or specific vendors. The Knox truly allowed us to craft our day our way.
Aside from the venue itself, Michelle and the staff were truly incredible. Michelle is such a warm, welcoming person, an absolute joy to work with from our very first meeting to the check-ins as our wedding day approached. We felt genuinely supported by her, and her experience and knowledge were invaluable in helping us plan our big day.
On the day of our wedding, Sydney was the staff member assisting us, and she was an absolute angel. As life happens, our DJ was running late due to circumstances beyond their control. Sydney immediately stepped in, took charge of the situation, and transformed what could have been a nightmare for any bride into the most seamless and beautiful ceremony we could have imagined. She listened to exactly what we needed and made it happen effortlessly, no one had any idea that anything behind the scenes was amiss.
The entire day went flawlessly. Our photos, both inside and outside the venue, were absolutely stunning, and the town of Merrickville itself was warm, welcoming, and beautiful. We truly could not have asked for a better place to celebrate the beginning of our life together. We 100% recommend The Knox.

We hosted our 70-person wedding at The Knox, and it was truly everything we hoped for. The venue itself is stunning, with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that created the perfect backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. Guests kept telling us how lovely the space was — and many also fell in love with the charm of Merrickville itself!
What really set The Knox apart was the team. From our very first tour right through to the last minutes of our wedding night, they were phenomenal — attentive, kind, and truly invested in making our day special. When my makeup artist unexpectedly ghosted me, Michelle even stepped in to help me find an alternative on very short notice. That level of support went far beyond our expectations.
The bridal suite was an absolute dream and gave us a much-needed private spot to take a quiet moment together throughout the day.
The only limitation to be aware of is that, due to local noise bylaws, events must wrap up by 10:30pm. That said, the team was very clear about this from the start and even suggested nearby spots where guests could continue the celebration afterward - we highly recommend the Goose & Gridiron pub down the street!
We would recommend The Knox without hesitation to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with outstanding service! -

Very professional employees. Early on we had to switch the date for our wedding due to a surprise conflicting event and they were able to work with us to find a different day. On the day, they had a ramp for easy access for some of our guests and helped with ensuring the event went smoothly. The site's simple colour scheme blended well with our own decor's colours. -

I LOVED celebrating our special day at the Knox and would recommend it to all couples looking for a unique and authentic experience. Michelle (the owner) is extremely warm, responsive and friendly. The ladies who assist with set-up and take-down during the wedding day/ceremony are also soooooo amazing. Without them, our day would not have been as "seamless". The space itself is STUNNING and make for some incredible photos.
It was our dream come true. -

From the first visit when we already knew that The Knox would be our wedding venue to the actual day of the wedding, and even the day after, the service and attention to detail was unmatched! Every staff member was so helpful and kind. The owner, Michelle, has the most wonderful and welcoming attitude we were instantly excited to work with her! She was very responsive when we had questions and helped guide us through the entire process of using the venue and what was included. A special thank you to Sydney for helping facilitate our day and ensuring everything was exactly as we wanted and ran as smooth as possible! We couldn’t not have asked for a better day to celebrate us! Thank you all so so much! -

My husband and I got married at the Knox on September 14, 2024 and wow. We knew years ago when we saw the venue that it was the perfect place to have our cozy and unique fairytale wedding. Michelle and her team are absolutely incredible to work with---so helpful, kind, and genuinely care about your special day. The Knox is such a gem, and our wedding was absolutely perfect. Not to mention the surrounding village provides ample photo opportunities, so your phots will be anything but boring. Overall fantastic
The Knox played a massive part in making our big day absolutely perfect! Their recommended vendor list is a major major help and everyone who had worked with them spoke very highly and were happy to collaborate together once again. All staff were incredibly nice and supportive, any questions were answered swiftly and with reassurance. Huge thank you for being apart of our big day!! -

I had my wedding at the Knox including ceremony & reception. I also did their wedding coordination services. The staff at the Knox specifically Michelle Davis is who I primarily worked with was so professional, kind, knowledgeable, and helpful in many various areas. Michelle Davis was the coordinator and was amazing with keeping everything organized (amazingly) she also was so good at keeping on top of vendors specially the more difficult ones…. and was great at helping bring my vision of what I had for the day to come to life with keeping expectations realistic. The Knox is super well connected to other vendors in the industry specifically local ones so she was great in giving suggestions of people to use and had lots of experience which helped give ideas and to show different examples of how to do different things like first dance, ceremony layout, and reception layouts. The only the ONLY complaint I would be that they are only a venue … the do not provide anything besides the space. They do not include linens glassware cups, bar or bar staff, or catering. So if you have your event there you are basically paying for just the space … which was at least for me a bit difficult to get a different vendor for each aspect for the wedding. I will say tho the venue is gorgeous and beautiful venue for a small wedding definitely not a place for a bigger guest list .. I also recommend if you have your wedding there to pay the extra money for the coordination service it was worth EVERY PENNY. The Knox staff completed majority of set up and completed the takedown and organized everything for us so when we came the following day everything was taken down and packed up for us to pick up and take home. All in all I recommend the Knox if your have a small wedding and also keep in mind if your looking to do one and have a late night reception due to bylaws in Merrickville the bar has to be closed at 10:30pm on a weekend and music is off by 10:45pm. Just to keep in mind. All in all i enjoyed my experience with the Knox and made my wedding day amazing did not have to worry about 1 thing on the day all I had to do was focus on getting married Michelle handled everything on the day of and helped so much the 6 weeks leading up to the wedding making sure everything was on track and problem solved anything issues that arrived!
