What a wedding!!!
October 19,2019 will be a day remembered by many.
We couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding and it couldn't have been made possible without the Eglinton Grand venue and staff.
The venue is unique and has a beautiful history. All the details were perfectly place. The atmosphere had a certain je ne sais quoi about it.
However, the extraordinary team of people is what makes the venue what it is. They all have played such monumental part in making our day so very special.
A special Thank you goes to Teresa who was there for us every step of the way supporting and guiding us, giving us genuine advice and help
The food was spectacular, our signature drink Turned out Perfectly! And the service thourought the night was Stellar...such friendly, warm people. We couldn't ask for more.
Thank you Eglinton Grand for making our dreams come true.
PS. We will for sure come back for our vow renewal party!

(This is going to be a long one, so lock in!!)
We don't even know where to begin with this review & we personally feel so sad to be writing it because this just means that we will not get to go back to the INCREDIBLE venue (unless someone else we know decides to get married here).
Hands down - a dream experience, with absolutely no misses. We booked Eglinton Grand as our reception venue for our June 2026 wedding nearly two years ago, back in 2024 and were introduced to Teresa - who for the next two years was the backbone to our highly customized reception day. Teresa went above & beyond - every email, every question, every call - answered with precision & detail and with absolutely no complaints.
We were a DIY couple, who were trying to figure out so many logistics ourselves and not once did Teresa ever made us feel like a burden for the laundry list of questions we threw her way. We cannot thank Teresa enough for the attention to detail & care she put into our event.
She then introduced us to Paula - who was the DREAM detail manager. She - very efficiently managed to dissect our very detailed itinerary with a lengthy list of lighting cues and brought to life a reception event that every guest told us was something they'd never seen in a wedding before! Paula was so thorough, detail oriented and on point the whole time leading up to and on the day of our reception. We had a very specific vision for the evening and to see it come to life brought us to tears every hour.
As detailed as we were as a couple - our reception would not have been what it was without the tireless efforts of the entire team at Eglinton Grand - Teresa, Paula, the amazing AV techs who nailed every lighting cue, the bartenders who whipped up our customized signature cocktails & more, the set up staff and servers who kept us hydrated and well fed throughout the night.
Our food was catered both by Eglinton Grand (during cocktail hour) and The HOST (for both cocktail hour & dinner) and every dish was absolutely incredible. So flavourful. So delicious.
The guests we invited were all seasoned wedding guests - and every single one of them told us how unique this venue was. Many had never been to a wedding or venue like this before, and it brought us back to the first day we walked into EG and how quickly we made the decision to book it, and what an excellent decision that was.
As a DIY couple (bride - lol), EG helped me unlock a level of creativity I didn't know I possessed. I was able to completely lean into the venue, and was able to curate something so unique & barring the stage decor, I DIY-ed absolutely everything else!
As a venue itself, the interiors are stunning, moody & old school hollywood era like, with it's dramatic mezzanine curtains, the high ceilings, the movie screen, the grand piano & more - perfect for any couple that is looking to plan a unique & non-traditional wedding.
I could say so much more - but I'm going to let the photos do the rest.
Thank you to whole team at Eglinton Grand & The Host for giving us our dream reception day. You basically made us the couple who has now set the BAR for weddings across both ours & our families' friend groups. Every guest we spoke to told us that ours was the "Best wedding they've ever attended" and we cannot thank you enough for helping us bring that to life!

We could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding. Sarah, Paula and Gleb were with us from the very beginning in working with us to ensure everything we wanted for our wedding was possible. They were always incredibly responsive and open to any concerns or questions we had. They were also super detail-oriented and able to offer ideas and I sights to ensure our event was one-of-a kind. We had a a few dietary restirictions and accessibility needs for our guests and every single accomodation was met with compassion and support. Gleb was fantastic the day of and kept the day moving smoothly but also made sure we were having a fantastic time. All our guests raved about the beautiful space, the food, and the service. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone. -

We had our wedding at The Eglinton Grand and could not have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly — my wife and I truly felt taken care of the entire day. The food was outstanding and so many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it. The atmosphere was unforgettable, and our guests had an amazing time celebrating with us. We had the most incredible wedding at The Eglinton Grand! The staff were so attentive to us and all our guests, making sure everyone felt cared for the entire night. A huge thank you to Paula and Teresa, who helped us bring our vision to life and supported us every step of the way. The venue’s unique charm and vintage elegance created such a magical atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious, our guests are still raving about it and the signature cocktails were a total hit! We’re so grateful to have celebrated our special day here! -

TLDR: Cool aesthetic and mostly reasonable costing venue but if you want answers in a timely manner, it would be better if you were local as best way to sort through things is to go in-person.
PROS
-Unique venue that guests raved was beautiful
-Accommodating with venue visits
-Overall, food received positive feedback (*although, see note below*)
-Open to make some exceptions (e.g. served steak medium rare, provided an extra appetizer in lieu of dessert, etc.)
CONS
-Very poor communication throughout the whole process (it was sometimes weeks before we would hear from our contact at the venue, and required multiple follow-ups)
-Messed up our food orders on the day of so some vegetarians did not get to eat at all
-For the food tasting, only one of each course is included so you won’t get to taste everything you are serving (if doing a “choice” menu)
-Although not necessarily “hidden” (which a lot a venues do), upgrades ended up costing a large chunk especially when considering most things have a 20% service charge (e.g. $500 for use of the movie screen, $1000 for extra wall of drapery, $35/table for pinlighting, $750 for an extra hour of event time, $6/person for an additional hour of bar time, etc.)

Our policy to responding to emails is generally between 24 to 48 hours of receipt, unless they were sent through on our weekend/days off.
With regards to the tasting, we did provide you an additional entrée for choice entrée service. Additional entrées are included within the complimentary tasting, when choice entrée is contracted.
We do apologize, as there was an error with a couple of the vegetarian entrees on our part, this was quickly rectified during dinner service. All vegetarian guests did receive their vegetarian entrée as contracted. The event manager personally apologized to the guests and they were promptly served. Upon follow up all guests were pleased.
We are transparent on all costs within our marketing materials, print packages and contracts; items are itemized and clearly outlined. This allows for flexibility and choice when deciding on upgrades, add-ons etc.

Pure elegance and magical!
We are so incredibly thankful to Paula, Teresa and all of the staff at the Eglinton Grand for providing the most magical experience for our wedding. From the grand reveal, the delicious food, to the decor and pure elegance of the venue, everything was picture-perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail was flawless—they were attentive, professional, and truly made us feel taken care of throughout the entire planning process and on the big day. Our guests were in awe of the venue and many told us it was one of the most beautiful weddings they’ve ever attended.
