The RCYC is stunning venue on one of the Toronto Islands. It is a private club but you do not have to be a member to host an event there. Andrea was incredibly patient and answered all of our many questions. She helped to make our day run smoothly and ensured everything was up to our standards. The staff was lovely and helpful. We were blessed with a beautiful September day and our guests felt that island venue was elegant and magical.Sent on 06/12/2017

We really wanted to have a more unique wedding venue, but I was planning the wedding from a different country which was challenging. The RCYC was beautiful and unique, but still provided a wedding package (which meant less work for me!) that was much more reasonably priced than I was expecting. All our guests commented on what a gorgeous venue it was. When Claudia was there, communication was absolutely wonderful, however a few months before our wedding she left and Vivian took over. While she was very friendly in person, Vivian never returned emails or phone calls (either to us or to our wedding planner), which caused a huge amount of stress. She also waited until Monday (our wedding was the following Sunday) to tell us that she would be out of town for the rest of the week, including our wedding day. However, the day itself turned out beautifully! All of the staff was very accommodating of our allergies/dietary restrictions, and very flexible when it came to any special requests. Tony (the banquet manager) was an absolute pleasure to work with, and went out of his way to make sure things ran smoothly. A crazy storm came through and we had to start the ceremony early, but everyone had a great time with all the excitement, and it made for some amazing photos!! :)Sent on 11/08/2015
Oh, one more note, as a non-member I was not aware of how strict their dress code policy is. They wouldn't even let me in for my own wedding rehersal because my preppy J. crew shorts were more than three inches above my knee!! It felt like grade school, and a bit disrespectful given how much money we were spending there... but again everything turned out perfectly on the wedding day. I wouldn't have changed a thing :)

The RCYC is a private club on Toronto Island, so you need to be a memeber to host an even there or have a memeber sponsor you (which we did). This venue is magical. It looks like an old Southern Mansion and has THE BEST view of Toronto Downtown. They RCYC food was incredible and they provide (For $10pp) private ferries for your guests to come over.Sent on 05/08/2012
They were pretty good on getting back to me, although not the most detailed or timely; however, everything got done in the end and everyone that attended our wedding said it was the most beautiful venue they had ever been to.
Well worth it!
