It was the perfect venue and backdrop for our September wedding. I have been going to McMichael Canadian Art Collection for many years, whether to view their extensive Group of Seven collection, various exhibits, or just to walk the beautiful grounds with my parents. For me, it was a no-brainer that we'd consider McMichael as a potential wedding venue as it's always had a special place in my heart. And I am so glad that we ultimately did. We were able to get ready on-site at the cabins across from the main building which was extremely convenient (ensure you rent both sides if you want the bridal suite and area for the groomsmen to get ready). Our ceremony was held in Gallery Eight which offered a romantic and intimate feel, surrounded by various Norval Morrisseau paintings which also added a sense of beauty and vibrance. Guests were also allowed a one-hour viewing of the lower gallery during cocktail hour which was a nice bonus for booking that space. Our reception was held in the Grand Hall which provided a lovely wood and stone backdrop - rustic, yet with a modern element too. It perfectly seated our 118 guests. Their exclusive caterer, Food Dudes, is phenomenal in every sense. All of our guests raved about the quality, portions and presentation of the food (apps, mains and desserts). Of note, there is a 12% landmark fee which goes toward the gallery's educational and cultural activities which is completely worth it. The grounds are so picturesque! Our photographer was able to capture some stunning moments of us amongst the birch trees and the forested area during golden hour. Lastly, I want to send a big and heartfelt thank you to Angela and Danielle for all of their insight, guidance and support to ensure our wedding day unfolded just as we envisioned. The grand hall was the perfect backdrop for our wedding reception! The venue was fantastic to work with, coordinated with us and our vendors, were flexible with us coming and going throughout the day, and photos around the grounds will be a keepsake for us forever! We received numerous compliments from our guests about how unique and beautiful the venue was! -

Both Angela Poletto and Danielle De Col are the dynamic duo that made sure our day went as planned. Their expertise ensured that the wedding planning process was as stress-free as could be possible on such an important day. On the day of the event Angela was always nearby to handle any of our questions or the last minute need for a highchair for our youngest guest. Their exclusive caterer managed by Rebecca Hollander from The Food Dudes was excellent. Of course, the McMichael's Art Gallery is in itself a beautiful venue. Wedding Hill provided the Humber Valley background for the photographers from Timeless Tree Weddings (you guys were so patient and amazing at getting all the groups organized). Guests could walk the grounds and have a Gallery visit throughout the day. The reception was held on the terrace also overlooking the Humber Valley. The tent provided by Pablo at Advanced Tent Rentals ensured we were ready for rain or shine. It was a hot, humid day so Angela even provided portable fans for the comfort of some of our elderly guests. Everything to the smallest detail was taken care of by Angela and Danielle, even the bridal suite offered us the much needed large private space to get ready with its' own washroom and various sitting areas for the Bridal Party to return to throughout the photography session to freshen up. From permits, security, parking, guest inquiries, gallery tickets, table set up, and accessible amenities for our guest in a wheelchair, the venue and staff surpassed our expectations. We highly recommend that you reach out to Angela Poletto for your wedding celebration. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Angela, Danielle, Rebecca at Food Dudes, Pablo at Advanced Tent, and all the amazing support staff that made this day spectacular!! It will be forever remembered by all!
