Hazelmere Golf & Country Club is an elegant wedding venue located in Surrey, British Columbia. This idyllic property features indoor and outdoor event spaces, each with sweeping views of the neatly manicured golf course. Its beautiful function rooms coupled with the staff’s dedication to quality service make this venue an ideal backdrop for unforgettable weddings.
Facilities and Capacity
The venue’s clubhouse boasts two refined banquet halls suitable for events of varying sizes.
The largest function room, the Panorama Room, offers couples a luxurious space to celebrate with their loved ones. This room features a beautiful vaulted, cedar ceiling and classic chandeliers to create a timeless setting for your wedding day. The elegance of this room is enhanced by a stone set fireplace, mid-century modern bar and hardwood dance floor. Step outside onto the patio to take in the views of the golf course, a perfect backdrop for any occasion. With a capacity of up to 200 guests, this is the ideal venue to make your wedding dreams come true! Couples who choose to hold their ceremony at this venue and rent our Panorama room for the accompanying reception, may exchange vows on the lawn with the rolling golf course as their backdrop. The lawn can be adapted to fit many configurations to suit weddings of varying sizes.
The Garden Room is another banquet room with its own unique features. The Garden Room is fitted with floor-to-ceiling windows and a beautiful skylight. These windows flood the space with warm, natural light. Enjoy the tranquility of the indoor koi pond as you take in the picturesque views of the golf course. The Garden Room is most suitable for intimate weddings between 30 and 70 guests. Additionally, the Garden Room offers a breathtaking patio space and can accommodate ceremonies of up to 70 attendees.
Services Offered
Hazelmere Golf & Country Club has a professional events team that works with each couple planning their wedding here. They can provide a list of preferred vendors and assist in creating a custom event menu. A member of staff will also be on-site throughout the duration of the festivities to ensure everything is executed seamlessly. The culinary team offers several menus that soon-to-be newlyweds can personalize according to their tastes. Couples will have access to a wide array of event rental items that they can use to enhance their event space. Items include, but are not limited to audiovisual equipment, linens, easels, a portable dancefloor (for our Garden Room) and more are supplied by the venue. Staff will setup and teardown the event space for the convenience of the happy couple.

Ideal Venue!

When we walked in just under two years prior to our wedding we knew Hazelmere was the one for us. We loved their buffet package and ability to customize how we wanted the space to look. Luckily for us, the space is already beautiful and does not need a lot to make it look better. Anything additional will just make it look like YOURS! Also the lights dim, which I didn’t know until that day and it was a pleasant surprise.
We had 88 guests. We had the buffet, including prime rib and our guests said every single dish of food was delicious. We opted for the premium bar service with two drink tickets for each guest. All of our guests loved the easy parking, even with a small corporate event the same day. We were able to set up the afternoon before which saved so much stress since there was no wedding or event that day. I was never worried about what was going on behind the scenes as they knew what they were doing. At one point we were taking photos and my bridesmaids ordered fries for us since we were hungry and they were so amazing to bring it out to us.
We didn’t have our ceremony there but we were allowed to take pictures and it was so beautiful. The lawn space just outside the reception and the front sitting space made for beautiful fall photos. As our photographers described it “a perfect stars hallow day”. We could not have had a better venue.
Dream Wedding Accomplished - in TWO weeks!
We spoke to the amazing Hazelmere team (Karen, Hilary, and Julia - also shoutout to Kendra who worked with us initially, but went on Mat Leave), and they not only accommodated us, but worked extremely hard to make it happen with us.
Fast forward to the wedding day, and we received nothing but PRAISES from our guests. Beautiful venue, DELICIOUS food (and this is a MUST for big back Filipino families) and the staff were not only professional, but kind, quick, caring, and ON POINT. Julia was our coordinator, and she left us speechless throughout the whole process. She helped everything run so smoothly, and was our comfort during the anxiety of planning a wedding within two weeks.
If you're a couple looking for their reception and/or wedding venue, I can tell you this:
1. The food is by far the BEST wedding food in the Lower Mainland - I have been to many weddings and reception venues, and a lot of the food comes close to hospital cafeteria food. Hazelmere is FAR from it. Their menu is incredibly diverse, offer SO much value, and the flavour is just incredible.
2. The staff and the team give a damn. They care, they will go the extra mile, and they will certainly put love into the process for you.
3. Blank canvas - if rustic is your thing, working with the right decor company (in our sitch, we worked with Forevery Occasion who we LOVED and also RECOMMEND), will allow you to bring your vision to life.
4. Plenty of parking, open space on the green to take pics, and overall VERY photogenic venue.
If you choose Hazelmere, you will not regret your decision. I can truly say we got our dream wedding, and they were a large part in making our special day a massive success despite the timeline.

Hilary originally started working at Hazelmere in 2009 where she began as a banquet server. After graduating from SFU and pursuing a career in management and customer service, she fell in love with the hospitality industry. With her attention to detail and passion for event planning, she will ensure your experience at Hazelmere is one to remember.
With a passion for creating memorable events and a strong background in customer service and hospitality, Jasleen brings a detail-oriented and creative approach to the Hazelmere team. She enjoys working closely with clients to ensure their vision is brought to reality and that every celebration is executed seamlessly. When she’s not coordinating events, Jasleen enjoys spending time with family, friends, and her dog.
With 10+ years of experience in the Customer Service and Hospitality Industry, Karen puts her all into every event she coordinates. With a background in Marketing, and her many years working at multiple Golf Courses, she is always looking for new and innovative ways to expand and build the Banquet Department at Hazelmere. When Karen is not in the office, you can find her out golfing, or spending time with her family.
