We had our wedding at the Golden Eagle Golf Club on April 15th 2023. Lamica and her team went above and beyond to bring our non-traditional wedding dreams to life. Despite a rainy day, the day of the wedding went off without a hitch, the staff were so prepared for any weather condition even with my insistence that the wedding ceremony take place outside. Leading up to the wedding Lamica was so responsive and helpful with any questions or ideas we had for the day. She worked with us to create a detailed timeline which eased nearly all of my pre-wedding jitters. I had no fear that the day would go off anything but smoothly.
The venue on it's own is absolutely gorgeous but with the decor it was even more elevated. Guests told us they felt like they were "inside a cloud", and raved about the food. The staff were so helpful and considerate. The cost of the venue was well worth it and compared to every other venue we looked at certainly came with the most bang for your buck. Lamica as a day of coordinator made everything even more worth it.
12/10 would recommend this venue to anyone! -

"We cannot recommend Golden Eagle for your wedding enough. The banquet room is so gorgeous and is the perfect balance of rustic and elegance. The entire staff was so helpful and made our day flow perfectly. Our friends and family cannot stop raving about how much fun they had and how good the food was. The real star of the show is Lamica as she helped us navigate our wedding from start to finish. She answered every email, every phone call and every question which we had. We felt so much confidence know our big day was in her hands - from the initial walk of the venue, the tasting, the planning, and everything we just felt so comfortable. We will honestly miss getting to chat and collaborate with her. We hope our friends and family will run it back at Golden Eagle so that we will get to catch up with her again! Thank you to the Golden Eagle and all of their staff for making our vision come true."

Planning our wedding was made easy with coordinator Lamica. She did a wonderful job of letting my fiancé and I know exactly what we needed to organize and plan for our wedding. The venue was flexible with the set-up and take-down of our wedding decor, which helped to make things far less stressful the day before and after the wedding. The day of however, I barely saw Lamica and was told there was hesitation with moving our wedding day timeline around when our post ceremony photos took less time than anticipated. That being said, the day went off without a hitch and Golden Eagle helped to facilitate a night myself and my guests will never forget. -

We would like to thank the Golden Eagle team for providing us the backdrop for our wedding on Sunday September 29, 2024. Lamica is an amazing event coordinator that pays attention the every detail. Her professionalism is beyond what words can express. Lamica’s team helped with making sure that the timeline that Lamica has was followed to a tee. They stayed till the very end of the night which was amazing. Everything was smooth and went without a hitch. Any question that we had was answered quickly via email or a telephone call. The food was spectacular, very flavourful and all our guests commented on that. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone. Lamica provided us with a listing of their preferred venders which was super helpful especially when looking for a DJ.Golden Eagle Golf Club's reply:

We loved our wedding at Golden Eagle so much. It was such an amazing day and Lamica was so easy to work with. They were very flexible and accommodating and she was always a quick call, text or email away whenever I had any questions. The venue is stunning and it was great to have everything contained to one place. We also loved being able to sample the food before the wedding and how customizable it was (the food was very good might I add!). As far as weddings go, the drinks weren't badly priced and I appreciated the different options (such as drink tickets, toonie bar, open bar etc). We received nothing but compliments from our guests about the venue and food.
That being said, there are a couple of things that we were a little disappointed with. We opted to do the helicopter ride (100% recommend), but no one seemed to know exactly when it was coming so we rushed through family photos right after the ceremony because we were told it would arrive soon and then wound up with a lot more time that we could have gotten more photos but our family had all wandered off by that point. There were a bunch of photos that we didn't get that I wish we had so that just felt like a bit of a bummer and super chaotic. Granted part of that would have been on our photographer as well but I felt like maybe there needed to be some better communication there or something.
We left partway through our dinner to go get the sunset photos and when we came back our food and drinks were covered in fruit flies. Our photographer mentioned it and was told we needed to eat/drink faster...so I didn't wind up eating much of my food and I had to dig fruit flies out of our glasses every time we poured a new glass of wine. This was kind of upsetting.. I understand that they are around this time of year but considering sunset photos are built into the timeline of the day and they know the bugs are a problem, it was a bit surprising that none of the staff covered our plates of food and/or left corks/tops for our bottles of wine on our tables. We had a few people mention it to us later as well that they felt bad watching us have to clean bugs out of our drinks so it was just a little odd when it would have been an easy thing to prevent.
Overall I would absolutely recommend Lamica, her team and Golden Eagle. We loved our day and are so glad we chose them as our venue. With anything, there's just a few things I think they could work on. -

We had the most amazing experience at Golden Eagle for our wedding on Sept 1, 2024. I keep telling everyone how perfect my wedding day was, and Golden Eagle was instrumental in this. The location is gorgeous, it is essentially all-inclusive, however still enough of a blank canvas to allow you to express your personality through decor and the menu. The opportunity to have a helicopter organized after our ceremony was iconic and the most amazing and insane experience. It was truly the best day of my entire life. Lamica, the coordinator at Golden Eagle, kept us organized and on track, making suggestions but still accepting our personal decisions about how we wanted our wedding to look. I don't know what we would've done without Lamica!
Golden Eagle Golf Club was the first and only venue that my husband and I visited - we knew right away that we wanted to have our wedding there. Lamica answered our loads of questions promptly and helped ease our anxieties about the little details of our big day. Our wedding day honestly couldn't have gone smoother. We opted for the helicopter add-on and we're so glad that we did - I'd recommend considering doing the helicopter ride before your ceremony rather than after! The food was delicious, the staff were on point, the venue had everything we needed and Lamica was the guidance we needed. 10/10 would recommend.Golden Eagle Golf Club's reply:
