Shaughnessy was the perfect venue for our wedding! We had a smaller wedding of about 70 people and the space — which we booked for both ceremony and reception — was everything we hoped for and more. The package photography session with VanDusen made for a more seamless experience getting photos in the beautiful gardens before the wedding. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and I really appreciated how clear and communicative the team was about supporting our guests with dietary restrictions.
Special thank you to all the amazing staff, from the planning team to the day-of event staff. We felt SO cared for every step of the way. And especially on the wedding day when everything was a blur, they were so thoughtful checking in to see that we had everything we needed, and were well-fed and hydrated.

Look no further!! Shaughnessy restaurant is really the perfect venue for your intimate, romantic wedding. Reasons why are not limited to: 1) experienced planning team: Carlle and Lauren were always quick to respond, professional, and reliable. We (aka bride without a planner) felt very well-supported from day one. 2) exceptional and courteous wait staff: on our wedding day as well as during the planning process--no matter weekday/weeknight/busy weekend where there was another party going on-- someone always made themselves available to answer our questions about trivial things like, "what does the easel that you have look like?" Teri helped us out a lot!! 3) beautiful room with garden as backdrop and romantic lights-- you don't need to spend much on decor for it to look classy 4) tasty food and drinks 5) fair price with detailed worksheet = no surprises along the way 6) in central but NOT downtown Vancouver, with huge parking lot -- guests (and busy bridal party) really appreciate this. Also we can come back for anniversaries easily! These are a few of the million reasons why they book up so quickly! A warm and heartfelt thank you to the incredible people mentioned above, and to the owners of this long-standing establishment for making our dream wedding come true!! -

Amazing experience!
Our wedding ceremony and reception was amazing thanks to the help of all of the staff from Shaughnessy Restaurant. Lauren and Carlle responded promptly to the many questions we had, and had us well prepared for the day with the worksheet they provided for us. The restaurant itself is very beautiful and well maintained, and we got many compliments from the guests on the food! Milan accommodated us graciously for our initial visit, wedding rehearsal, and the on the day of.
We truly had a wonderful event thanks to the team at Shaughnessy Restaurant. We can't wait to be back for a delicious meal! -

We had our wedding at Shaughnessy Restaurant at VanDusen Gardens, and it honestly couldn’t have been better. The gardens made for the most beautiful backdrop — our photos turned out stunning. After spending time in the gardens, we were in the venue for the rest of the night, and it was just perfect.
The restaurant itself is gorgeous — warm, elegant, and surrounded by greenery — so we didn’t need much extra decor at all. It really speaks for itself, which made planning so much easier.
The ceremony went so smoothly, and the staff were incredible. They were super attentive and managed to flip the ceremony space into the cocktail area so quickly that everything just flowed perfectly.
Dinner was amazing — the appetizers were delicious, and the meal itself was fantastic. Our guests kept commenting on how great the food was, and the service was top-notch. No glass was ever empty during speeches or toasts, which we really appreciated.
We also loved having the private room to get ready and cool down in throughout the night. It was such a nice touch — the bride and bridesmaids could touch up makeup or take a breather away from the crowd when needed.
All in all, we couldn’t have picked a better place. The setting, food, and staff were all amazing, and they made our day so special. Highly recommend Shaughnessy to any couple looking for a beautiful, stress-free wedding venue! -

Our team has had the pleasure to DJ many weddings at this wonderful Vancouver venue. The service is always top notch, drinks/food is amazing and staff is friendly. The ceremony and dance-floor space is iconic. I would highly recommend getting married here.

Shaughnessy Restaurant was the perfect reception venue for our wedding! It was so easy to plan it with Carlle's help and all the staff that helped us on the day of our wedding and prior to that were amazing. Food and drinks were excellent and having the extra room to change and get my hair ready between my ceremony, reception, and then my dance performance was so helpful. Such a great intimate venue with excellent food and service. Will have to come back for our anniversaries! -

The professionalism and organization of this restaurant as a wedding venue exceeded our expectations. Carlle and Lauren were so helpful from the very beginning, helping us with all the details from start to finish. Their wedding worksheet is so organized and they are very quick to respond. We loved that the venue is beside VanDusen Gardens as well, which was very useful for our photography and videography sections. Shaughnessy Restaurant itself has everything you need in 1 place, from the ceremony room to the reception room. The option to have a tea ceremony at the back room was also an added bonus. The ambience also lies in the beauty of the restaurant itself, with rustic charm in an intimate setting. We highly recommend Shaughnessy Restaurant as a wedding venue, it was amazing!!!! -

Shaughnessy Restaurant was the perfect place for our wedding. The professionalism and experience was unmatched. They were so helpful and quick to answer all my questions and changes prior to the day, and the service was impeccable on the day of.
The food was excellent, and they even put aside some canapes to make sure my husband and I didn't miss out while navigating the busy day! Which was really thoughtful of them. Everything is run so well at the highest level of service!
Our day was so beautiful and everything we wanted it to be, which I give a credit to Shaughnessy Restaurant as the beauty of the venue, amazing service and incredible food left nothing to be desired! Some of our guests even said it was the best wedding they've ever been to!
