Wedding at Riverstone on the Crowe
Our experience getting married at Riverstone on the Crowe was nothing short of incredible.
Our journey to planning our wedding during a pandemic was a challenging one. We had several negative experiences with other venues simply to book appointments or phone calls. Whereas these other venues made us feel like we had to take a number and they would get back to us in do time. The owners of Riverstone on the Crowe, Terry and Gerri, made us feel like their priority and would answer all questions the same day if not within minutes of our asking.
When we booked this venue we got more than we bargained for. It felt like we had hired our own personal wedding planners. As Terry and Gerri were so helpful with ideas, vendors and solutions to any problem we encountered. They were hands on with our other vendors to ensure that everything would run smoothly for our day. They also helped us plan small details and important aspects of a wedding that we had not considered ourselves. We truly felt like their valued guests. It was so easy to see that Terry and Gerri both have a passion for weddings.
The venue itself is phenomenal. The forest is stunning, with Terry and Gerri maintaining and enhancing its natural beauty. The river is so peaceful and provides an intimate and private ceremony site. The tent was beautiful and large with high openings, which made it feel like you were still within the forest. It was also wonderful to be able to see the fireflies at night from the tent, which felt magical.
It was also a relief to have a venue that provided so many different services, including decor, linens, music, a photo booth, MC and officiant. It allowed us to focus on our day, but also felt like we were getting the highest quality service without compromising. The music was thoughtful and personalized, with no lulls or interruptions. Terry did an amazing job MCing for us, which allowed our guests to focus on having fun and engaging in our wedding. Gerri was a thoughtful and well spoken officiant and truly made our ceremony special.
Most important to note is how accommodating Terry and Gerri are. It had always been our dream to get married in a forest, and other forest venues we found fell short of being accessible to those of limited mobility. Terry and Gerri assured us that our guests with mobility issues could be driven right up to the ceremony site. Then the day of our wedding we found they provided us with a golf cart (and driver) so that our guests could easily move from one location to another. This type of thoughtfulness is so rare and touching, and simply not something we saw with other venues.
I could not recommend Terry and Gerri more for their wedding venue Riverstone on the Crowe, or any of their other wedding service through their company Homemade Jam! We feel so grateful to have had such a beautiful day thanks to this wonderful couple and their beautiful venue.
