The International Peace Garden is a park wedding venue in Boissevain, Manitoba. We are a year-round destination that remains dedicated to our founding principles while serving as a resource for education, conservation, and entertainment for local, regional, national, and international visitors. This property is a non-profit botanical garden dedicated to the mission of celebrating peace and fostering a more peaceful world.
Facilities and Capacity
This scenic venue features several sites to host a couple's wedding festivities. Whatever the season, this property can accommodate intimate gatherings and magical celebrations. The list of sites includes the Formal Garden, Peace Chapel, Interpretative Center, Errick Willis Pavilion, Historic Lodge, and Conservatory.
The International Peace Garden staff aims to make the booking and organizing of each couple's wedding a seamless process. Rentals are available on an hourly or daily basis for the convenience of clients. Facilities near the campground must observe campground quiet hours while other facilities may keep guests until 2 am. There is no maximum guest capacity but some facilities do have limited space.
The International Peace Garden was founded in 1932 on the premise of peace, cooperation, and friendship. The Peace Garden operates on a combination of public and private funding. Public funding is provided by both the state of North Dakota and the Manitoba provincial government. Both the Canadian and United States federal governments have provided funds throughout history, but not on a yearly basis. In addition to a full-time administration and horticulture staff, the Peace Garden is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
