I believe you would not find any better in a wedding venue. Everything about our experience just made my wedding dreams a reality.
I discovered the CAPE through WeddingWire and it immediately became my #1 choice for a venue. From the get-go Elizabeth was absolutely incredible to work with, being the very first place to respond (I was overjoyed!!), and arranging all of the times to work out the details of our big day. Many minor details were clarified quickly and easily through e-mail, and our final run-through discussion truly had us feeling so confident and at-ease.
To the actual service:
- We booked the CAPE for the night before as well. They allowed us to arrive as early as 10:00am the day before to start setting up, and there was staff present to help with minor details like box cutters, zip ties and the little things we forgot.
Elizabeth not only stayed late to help us execute our vision, but she had some genuinely gorgeous ideas and was so hands-on with helping. It is CLEAR that she is an expert in her craft and so professional.
We ended the night with our bridal party playing in the pool table room. My husband and I also rehearsed our dinner entrance and first dance from about 2-3:00am in the Odyssey ballroom (killed it).
- the amazing service carried through to the day of. Picton got 8+ inches of snow on our wedding day/night, and our ceremony was at 6:00pm. The CAPE was SO equipped to welcome our guests with towels to dry off the snow, bags for people’s boots, and hot apple cider as a welcome. I can’t think of a single guest we spoke to who did not rave about the quality of the service, attention to detail, and of course how stunning the venue is.
- Elizabeth also helped us ‘rehearse’ the entrances for our ceremony, and on the day just quietly motioned when each person should proceed, I greatly appreciated this
- the bar staff were exceptional. They also allowed us to bring our own personalized shotski & shot glasses, & they didn’t miss a beat with people’s requests for it - this was such a highlight of our wedding!
- I would also like to shout out the chef/food service. On arrival each mini-fridge was stocked with amazing local beverages, and we had the pleasure of enjoying two breakfasts at the CAPE. The spread of juices/teas etc. was fantastic, and the food was amazing!!
- lastly, it is worth mentioning that we did all of this with our 4 month old daughter present. The Elizabeth Taylor King Suite has a perfect little area for a bassinet/pack-and-play to be set up in the vanity space, and her kick mat had a permanent home on the rug that lives in the area between the 4 suites. I could not think of a better set up for a couple with a baby/infant

My wife and I had our wedding at The CAPE in August, and it was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, Liz and Jake were kind, flexible, and the calmest presence you could hope for in the middle of wedding planning stress. The space itself is gorgeous, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about it. We especially loved being able to stay on-site with close friends and family. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and made the whole experience even more special.

Wow!! We just had our wedding here and it was a wedding to remember not only because of the beautiful location and amenities, but also because of the service from Elizabeth and Jake. They were wonderful to work with, ensuring we had everything we needed leading up to the day and made sure our event ran smoothly. We were able to host our rehearsal dinner there, stay overnight the night before the wedding and the night of, and were able to clean up the next day. Our guests raved about the uniqueness and availability of the different spaces throughout the night, from the outdoor ceremony space, to inside the mansion, to the tent, and the odyssey ballroom. Honestly the perfect set up and overall amazing venue!!

We had our wedding at The CAPE this year, and what an absolute pleasure it was to have held such a special event here.

First, the venue is absolutely gorgeous. From the grounds, to each main space, to the bedrooms, each has an incredible amount of character, charm and elegance. The mansion exudes a fantastic aura of luxury. The tent is beautiful, and nothing is lost from the inside of the mansion to the inside of the tent and the outside grounds.

The breakfast served each morning is unlike any BnB food you’ve ever had. It’s a true culinary experience, staying true to the name and roots of the venue. The chefs working there are true masters of their craft.

Finally, any review of The CAPE would be incomplete without bringing up the contributions of Elizabeth and Jake, the coordinators for the venue. From the moment we first reached out to inquire about the possibility of having our wedding here, Elizabeth and Jake were a constant every step of the way. Incredibly organized, well informed, helpful, and with such kindness, we couldn’t have asked for better representatives of The CAPE throughout the experience. They answered emails incredibly quickly which made wedding planning so much less stressful.

Absolutely stunning. Every detail was thought of — from the layout and flow of the day to the smallest touches that made the space feel magical. You can tell they deliver quality in everything they do, big or small. It was the perfect backdrop for our celebration and left our guests speechless. It was honestly my dream wedding.

My husband and I got married at The Cape in June 2025, and we cannot believe how incredible our wedding weekend was!! Jake and Elizabeth were so wonderful from the moment we first toured the venue, and were incredible supports to us in all steps of planning and in executing our dream! The venue itself is SO beautiful, and it is so lovely to have the option to stay overnight with guests-this made our wedding so relaxing and gave us time to settle in before and after! The breakfast included was also amazing! There are so many ways to customize your wedding for whatever vision you have, and the venue offers tons of flexibility. The experience is very personal, and the team is incredibly dedicated to ensuring this is a stress free and fun process for couples! The venue also has wonderful recommendations for local vendors, and everyone we worked with was incredible, kind, and collaborated with ease. More importantly, Jake and Elizabeth and the team at the Cape went above and beyond for us and this is something we will always deeply cherish. We cannot say enough good things about The Cape, and would highly recommend! :)

I cannot recommend the CAPE enough as a venue! The building and grounds are breathtaking, everything we could imagine. The staff are friendly and so helpful, real professionals. A special shout out to Jake and Elizabeth for their help every step of the way! Everything went smoothly and all our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful it was! If you're looking for a classic, old money aesthetic, you will not find better!!

Elizabeth and Jake made us feel at ease the moment we toured the venue. We fell in love with pictures of The Cape online and it was even more beautiful in pictures. Elizabeth was extremely responsive and professional in emails and it made the stress of wedding planning melt away. She addressed every question I had with so much thought and detail. On the day of the wedding Jake made sure everything went flawlessly and it was even more perfect than we could imagine. Our guests were completely blown away by the venue, it was such a beautiful space and created such a cozy intimate ambiance. We could not recommend The Cape enough!

We had a microwedding at the Cape in June 2024, and we really are happy how everything was organized. Both Jake and Elizabeth were very responsive, helpful and flexible during our wedding and the planning phase. They provided great recommendations for vendors in the area as well as provided ideas for the event. We could not have thought of a better team to work with to make our day very special. It was definitely one for the books and we will make sure to come back to celebrate our anniversary.

Our experience with The CAPE was absolutely perfect. The venue is absolutely stunning and no detail has been missed, but more than that, Elizabeth and Jake and their entire team were above and beyond incredible. All of our guests raved about how amazing the staff were the entire day.

We had a bit of a unique set up to our wedding day with a less traditional format, but Jake and Elizabeth executed everything exactly as we imagined it. They were a dream to work with and I wish we could go back and re-live the day over and over again!

We are so thankful this is where we chose to get married. We will never forget how amazing our day was and so much of that is thanks to Jake, Elizabeth and the amazing team at The CAPE!
