  A perfect day at a stunning venue

  We were so happy we chose to have our wedding at Scarboro Golf and Country Club! Our guests are still telling us how much they enjoyed the food, and how beautiful the space was. My husband and I also really appreciated the layout of the space, with the ballroom being separate from the dining room, with a lounge space in between. This also meant that we had a great alternative ceremony space in case of rain. We did run into some hiccups with the menu we had initially chosen, but it was worked out very quickly and professionally. In the end it was a perfect day!

  Kathleen for the Win

  This is best hidden gem in Scarborough. Absolutely stunning place with a mansion and gorgeous outdoors. Kathleen was amazing throughout the process, staying in touch constantly and reassuring me about everything during stage 1 of the pandemic when our wedding took place. We're very grateful that they offered Halal menu options and also packaged everything for 35 people who had to leave after reception due to restrictions, even their appetizers and finger foods. This is the best possible venue we could've chosen.

  Perfect Venue

  What a great experience at SGCC! My husband and I had been planning our wedding for almost a year now and were devastated when COVID changed all of our plans. Thankfully Nico reached out to us amidst everything and gave us options we were able to work with! It was so nerve-wracking to hear so many brides not receiving any help from their venue but SGCC was there to help! I was transferred to Kathleen the Food & Beverage Manager so that we could discuss final details once I gave the go-ahead of having my wedding this year. I can't begin to tell you the number of emails and calls I made to Kathleen and she was always so nice and patient and ready to answer any questions or handle any concerns. I am so glad we had her there to help, she made our wedding a breeze and was super attentive. I can't begin to tell you how much of a pleasurable experience we had. Kat, you are a superwoman in our eyes, we appreciate all your help! Thank you SGCC!!

  A wonderful experience at a great location

  The outdoor scenery and indoor aesthetics were what attracted us to have our wedding here. We can't thank Jessica, Kat, Nico, and the rest of the team enough for their efforts throughout the entire process, making our day the best it could be.

  Absolutely fantastic!

  SGCC was an excellent decision! Kathleen was incredibly helpful with all the decision making and coordination, especially in the wake of Covid restrictions. We had an amazing wedding and our guests loved the decor, food, service etc. Would highly recommend!

  I want to have every event here for the rest of forever!

  Nico and Jessica are two of the most professional and easy-to-work with people we've ever met. Reaching them and having questions answered was always quick and easy, their suggestions helped make sure everything on the day ran like clockwork and their ability to accommodate last minute changes was a saving grace. We were hoping for an outdoor ceremony for our 100 guests with an indoor reception and dinner. The weather had other plans on the day of and they ensured that we had a beautiful ceremony inside in warm comfort. The whole process was simple and added no stress.
  
  Nico knows the grounds of the course inside out and he brought us and our photographers to all of the ideal spots for great photos. He is incredibly thoughtful and even supplied a warm blanket in the golf cart to keep us warm between locations.
  
  The grounds and clubhouse itself are both stunning and required very little decoration. The layout of the clubhouse itself is unique and made the transition from ceremony to drinks to dinner to reception all very fluid and simple. Everything was clean and in good repair. The staff were all incredibly polite and attentive but never over-bearing or intrusive.
  
  The food was spectacular. Our friends and family still regularly ask us if we can get married again so they can eat and drink in style. We can still quote the menu by heart. Everything was perfectly cooked, served hot and the mixed drinks were all delicious.
  
  We didn't have to sacrifice any of what we wanted to be able to meet our budget by using SGCC. Our second choice of venue would have been nearly double the cost and would also have required us to cut some of what we wanted from our day,
  
  Thanks to the whole team at SGCC for making our day perfect!
  
  Is a first anniversary too early to throw a vow renewal?

  We were looking into many venues and although I was apprehensive about getting married at a golf club, I changed my mind after visiting Scarboro Golf and Country Club. It has a lovely facilities, which do lend a lot of character, but without being too overwhelming. The staff has been nothing but helpful and supportive throughout the planning process and on the day of the event. We loved that we were the only wedding on that day and that we were given plenty of space to play around and get ready. Depending on what you are looking for, a golf club might not be right for you, but based on my experience: whatever we lost in customizations, setting up everything exactly the way we wanted to, we gained in limited stress and clean up. And cost.

  This place is definitely a hidden gem, and I mean that literally. There's no signage leading to the place so it's very easy to drive by and miss it. I like the relaxed atmosphere and that all charges were included in the price so you know exactly what you're getting. The venue is very flexible compared to others that I've been to - they allow you to store things for the wedding a day in advance and remove the items a day later. I had rented seat covers and table linens and they were able to put those on for me. On the day of the wedding, it rained so I was unable to hold the ceremony outdoors, so Blaguna and her team decorated the inside and it was still beautiful. I like that the venue only hosts one event at a time, so you're not celebrating your big day with other weddings. Food was also good, the cake at dessert was the best. Service was also very friendly, my guests all provided positive feedback.
  
  The venue is on the smaller side, so if you're hosting a smaller wedding of 100, then it's a nice intimate setting. For me, I would've liked a small space in front of the head table to play games so everyone can see. We ended up playing the games to the side of the head table. There's also not enough room to set up a screen for the slideshow, so we had to exclude that from our original plans.
  
  All in all, as long as you're clear on what the venue is capable of, and able to work within those realms, then it's a fabulous place.
