My wedding was perfect!
Thank you so much to the amazing Jocilea for all she did to help coordinate my wedding in September. She is so kind, helpful and totally professional. I would highly recommend adding on the day-of coordination package with her - she made my day totally stress free and I could enjoy instead of worry! The venue was absolutely gorgeous too of course and all of our guests were just raving about the location and the FOOD! We are so lucky we had the privilege of being able to get married here.Sent on 09/11/2019

Beautiful Venue, But Things to Keep in Mind
My husband and I had our wedding at Harding Waterfront Estate in September and it was gorgeous. The weather was perfect and the venue was beautifully decorated.Sent on 23/12/2018
However, there are some things that I'd like to relay to other couples who are thinking of booking with Harding Waterfront for their wedding.
First, the City of Mississauga manages this venue and they have a contract with a particular catering company. At the time of booking (end of January 2017), we were aware that they were still trying to work out a caterer for their 2017/2018 contract. But, we were told that a caterer would be figured out by the Spring of 2017 and there was nothing to be worried about for our September 2018 wedding.
I followed up with the City in September 2017 to inquire about booking our tasting with the catering company. We were then told that they were again working out a contract with the catering company and we would be advised in early 2018 as to whom the catering company would be for our wedding. This was a bit concerning to us but, again, we were reassured that everything would be worked out well before our wedding date.
Early 2018 arrived and I followed up again about the status of the caterer. We were then told that they hadn't worked it out yet and we would know by June or July of 2018--a couple months before our wedding!
Their inconsistencies with their catering contract really impacted our wedding timelines. I planned our wedding on my own and this was very stressful to deal with in the months leading up to our wedding. or instance, I was unable to send our invitations in a timely manner because I had not worked out the proper times for the day (i.e. when the ceremony would start, what time cocktail hour would be, etc.). (Note: we had our ceremony at Harding, as well.)
Also, the City will not allow you to bring in a third party caterer. We asked, given the circumstances, if we would could hire our own catering company and they refused. So, keep this in mind.
Second, the venue fee is about $1500, which I thought was pretty good considering the other places we looked at. But, don't be fooled. The catering company they work with charges you their fees for the ceremony, food, and any additional decor rentals you decide on. They then forward that invoice to the City and you are then billed by the City.
We had already paid over $15K in deposits by our wedding and we ended up paying an additional $15K after the wedding with taxes in. We did not expect this given the previous invoices given to us by the City. We anticipated an additional $7-8K--not the aforementioned.
Third, keep in mind that this venue is in a highly wooded area. Therefore, do not count on the cleanliness of the actual buildings. A couple days before our wedding, we did a walk through and noticed ginormous spider webs on the lanterns hanging beside the doors to the washrooms and where they keep the food on the day of the wedding. I brought this up with someone at the City and he advised it would be handled. It was not. Thankfully, I hired a month-of coordinator and she was nice enough to Swiffer the areas that our guests would be walking around.
There are some other minor issues that we had, but the ones noted above were the main issues we had with the venue. So, as gorgeous as the venue is, just keep these things in mind if you are thinking of booking Harding.
Harding Waterfront Estate's reply:Thank you so much for your feedback! I wanted to let you know that we, (Pegasus Hospitality Group) have recently taken over the operations and catering at Harding Estate. Hopefully you get to come back one day soon and experience what we have to offer.

Beautiful venue for a summer's day
I feel in love with the venue the moment we pulled up. It was perfect for our outdoor summer wedding. All of our guests commented at how gorgeous the venue was as well. All of the vendors and catering staff were responsive and helpful to us. The venue also provided for stunning wedding photos. Our day was perfect at Harding!Sent on 03/11/2018

I would strongly recommend this Venue to any couples looking for an outdoor venue. We had considered many different options from Tents to Vineyards and we were very happy with our choice. In the beginning there was a lot of information being communicated that made things a bit hectic but in the end we received great service and care from the on-site staff, the food was perfect, and the overall process was good. The only thing I would have asked for would be an additional bar or bar area as we had many guests waiting for drinks.Sent on 27/09/2017

Best day ever!
This venue is absolutely breath taking, and the food, service and just overall experience is on par with how incredible this venue looks. The property is owned by the city of Mississauga and they could not have picked a better catering company in Pegasus Hospitality. The food, the professionalism, the service, the responsiveness - everything was absolutely incredible. Our guests left calling our wedding “the party of the year”. Nothing but a great experience for my fiancé and I and our guests. And a huge shout out to our coordinator Jocilea who managed to answer every single one of my thousands of emails with nothing but professionalism and happiness to help. Thank you thank you thank you for helping make our day the best day ever!!!Sent on 14/08/2019
