Amazing food, great team, but...
I only had 11 guests staying in rooms at the hotel but the amount of things gone wrong there was frustrating, from myself being
Told that they’d get free parking to them being told they have to pay, it was a lot of unnecessary stress for me to be honest. Also, every guest room was stifling hot because they turned the AC off, so all of the guests that stayed there were unhappy with that, including Andrew and I. My mom and dad called the front desk at 2:30am and asked for a fan, they were answered with a no, and told to switch from their room with a king size bed to a room with a queen size bed because it was “cooler in that room since it’s only you and the people below you that are affected by the heat”
The food was amazing (people are still talking about it), expensive for how little you get in my opinion but it was delicious, I am however very dissatisfied with the amount of time given to eat. I let my guests dish out first and then I went and got mine, well there were a few behind me still dishing out so I left some for them and decided to go back after. Bad idea, I didn’t get any more because it was gone from the hallway, desserts and all. I didn’t even get a warning that they were taking it away, just all the food I paid for gone. So not only did it show up late, it left early as my BEO said it would be there from 6pm till 8pm and it was not there until 630, and gone at least 15 minutes before speeches started at 730.
When I was told fully stocked bar I should have had them go more into detail because there wasn’t much for drinks I would drink. I will hand it to them however as they did scrounge up 3 mikes hard lemonades for me which was nice.
All in all,
When it comes to events here, I would probably host again, but when it comes to staying the night, never would I ever.
