My wife and I had our wedding at the Tigh-Na-Mara Resort in mid-May 2023 and the entire process was wonderful and consistently exceeded our expectations. We planned the entire wedding remotely from Edmonton, AB, and the communication from the resort during this process was extremely good.
The resort offers several wedding packages which we found reasonably price and included food, drinks, the fee for the Reception area, decorations and several other services. My primary contact during the planning was the resort Wedding and Event manager, Jackie Legzdins, who was fabulous at answering all of our questions and making accommodations to make our special day perfect. We were concerned that planning a wedding through email would be difficult but Jackie made the process simple. She was also very involved on the day of our wedding and helped make sure the set-up, Ceremony and Reception all ran smoothly.
The resort hosted an event called "Savour the Date" during the Winter before wedding season begins which offers couples an opportunity to sample the entire food menu, drinks and meet local wedding vendors. My wife and I were not able to attend but Jackie was wonderful about welcoming my parents to go in our absence and they had an excellent time. We were able to meet and hire an officiant and photographer during this event.
The Ceremony venue, the Oceanside Gazebo, was a stunning location with a gorgeous view of the ocean. The Reception took place in the conference centre in the Grand Moriarty room and the resort did an amazing job decorating and preparing the area before our guests arrived. Every resort employees who was involved in our wedding was extremely professional, kind and courteous. The bartenders, waiting team, kitchen staff and other employees were spectacular.
The food itself was of very high quality and the menu is expansive - I would encourage everyone who holds their wedding at Tigh-Na-Mara to attend the 'Savour the Date" event to pick their dinner entrees and canapes.
I would encourage anyone looking to have their wedding near the Ocean on Vancouver Island to strongly consider having their special day at this location, we were so amazed by the entire day. -

October Wedding
We had the absolute best wedding ever at The Tigh Na Mara! It was made seamless and the support from Jackie and the crew was phenomenal. All our dreams came true on our special day. The food was amazing! We made a few requests of a turkey dinner and pumpkin pie tarts and it was done no questions asked. The bar staff were hilarious and personable. 10/10 recommend that everyone gets married here. -

I had the most perfect wedding with Tigh-Na-Mara. The day could have not gone better. Everything was so smooth. Jackie knew exactly what she was doing and it calmed any nerves I had for any wedding mishaps. The food was amazing and the service was great. The views were amazing and gave me my ocean photos I needed. I highly recommend having your wedding here. -

My husband and I had our wedding at Tigh-Na-Mara last week. While looking for the perfect venue to have our wedding, nowhere else came even remotely close to Tigh-Na-Mara in terms of professionalism, quality, location, atmosphere and so much more. It ticked all the boxes for us. However, our actual wedding could not have gone more perfect there. If there was a way to give 10 stars I would because this resort completely exceeded our expectations, creating the absolute perfect day for our wedding. We cannot wait till the next time we can come back to visit now that this place holds a special spot in our hearts. We are on cloud 9 and could not be happier with how everything went. From the weather to the location to the food, the staff, the rooms, the grotto.. everything was perfect. Thank you Tigh-Na-Mara for making our wedding perfect! -

My husband and I stayed at the resort for 1 week for our wedding on Aug 24th, 2023, along with our guests. It was spectacular and felt like a holiday abroad! The rooms were beautiful and spacious, we stayed all around the resort and enjoyed the ocean views as well as forested spa bungalows. The amenities as well as the activities for kiddos were amazing, everyone was busy including the teenagers, small kids, and adults. Jackie and the wedding team made getting married feel easy, and very accomodating. Jackie is with you every step of the way to ensure your big day is perfect! I really enjoyed the experience and felt grateful for the staff and all their hard work to make our big day feel so special! -

From the very start of the process with a tour of the venue, Jackie and her team at the resort were absolutely amazing. They are all such sweet people, very friendly and helpful too. We went with them for our ceremony and reception because everything was so simple, as they took on most of the planning. This was really the easiest and smartest choice we made for our wedding, especially as both of us hate planning and decisions.
Throughout the planning process, everyone was responsive and sweet, and we really enjoyed their "Savour the date" event.
Day of, everything was phenomenal, Jackie was so on top of everything and we enjoyed the day thoroughly.
Jackie and team, thank you for the fantastic day, we are so happy you made it all so easy to pull off, we will never be able to thank you all enough for everything. Thank you!!! -

Jackie and the team at Tigh-na-mara were so fantastic to work with, we had the small wedding package and felt so spoiled. Everything was very organized, they made sure we had no worries and plenty of space without interruptions at the resort to fully enjoy our day. It was so simple to set everything up with the resort, Jackie made it very easy to make selections and have all of our bases covered without fuss. The rooms were also beautiful and the spa package made us feel truly fantastic the next day. Thank you! -

Incredible venue
We were thrilled with this venue for our wedding. Jackie was incredible through the entire process and their savour the date event was an amazing way to meet all our vendors and enjoy the planning experience. The day of they took care of everything and we could just enjoy the day. Our guests stayed for 4 days and it was an amazing venue to host all the guests. I highly recommend and really enjoyed our experience. -

It was perfect!!
Our wedding day was everything we could have ever dreamed. From the first day we were treated so well with our early room access and on to our rehearsal dinner at Cedars. Jackie and her team are the best at making you feel as though there are no worries at all. She is a superstar! We only wish we could do it all over again🥂 -
