My husband and I got married last month and held our reception at the Prestige Resort - in their lounge. It was truly a wonderful experience right through the planning stage to the actual event. The food and drinks were amazing - they were able to accommodate many different dietary restrictions and requests including making some of the meals vegan. We mostly worked with their event manager, Melanie, and she was a dream come true. Super organized, easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to questions, and brought some really great ideas to the layout and timeline. We found the pricing to be pretty reasonable as well and you can't beat the background view of the lake right outside the back of the resort. We would highly recommend to other couples. -

Wedding reception
Being from out of province, we had to do all of the planning via email and it was extremely efficient. All of our questions were answered in a very timely manor and the staff was so flexible with all of the changes that were made along the way. The day of the wedding was exceptional, from the food to the service. We had a perfect wedding! -

Prestige was a lovely place to have our wedding. It was nice to have the venue, food, tables etc taken care of in one shot at a reasonable price. The food was good and the area is convenient and beautiful for guests. Kirsti was helpful with planning ahead of time and we were also thankful that they opened the marina for us to take photos. Two downsides were 1) Lighting was poor. It seems the lights should turn up further but no one seemed to know how. 2) They switched the orientation of the floor plan from what they had given me - so the table of friends I had asked to take care of the photo booth were now the furthest possible table from the booth. -

We did our entire wedding at the prestige Lakeside resort; Ceremony, pictures and dinner. We had originally picked it cause there is a large gazebo outside where my husband and I use to meet up and sir and talk while we were dating.
We had also picked this venue because not only did we really love the view and the rooms we new we could do everything there for a fair price and stay there over night as well. Also my mother in-law was very sick (pancreatic cancer) and we thought it would be easier for her if she didn't have to move around to much.
Unfortunately she didn't make it to our wedding.
She did however got to see my dress and helped plan a bit of it. She was a very lovely Sweet caring person.
The wedding was lovely and just the way we wanted it. Simple but nice. We had only 34 guests.
The hotel was very accommodating and helpful for a few of our guest had some dietary needs due to severe allergies. Dinner was catered by the hotel and everyone of our guests was extremely happy with the food and service.
In the end it was a beautiful day without much stress and in the end the girl cleaned up and put all the items we had brought to decorate with into a box and kept it for us till we were ready to leave.

We can't say enough great things about having our wedding at the Prestige in Nelson. Kirsti was wonderful to deal with and always got back to us right away. The venue was everything we needed. All of the serving staff were wonderful and attentive. The food was so delicious. Having our wedding at the Prestige made everything so simple. We were able to decorate how we wanted. Many of our guests stayed there as did we. We also got our hair/makeup done right there. Our guests could all mingle in the restaurant there and enjoy the beautiful view. We got married on the warf outside (this was not affiliated with the Prestige), but Kirsti was still able to point us in the right direction on how to set it all up. -
