Facilities and Capacity
Weddings at Fernie Alpine Resort can begin with a ceremony in one of three locations. The first is the Lost Boys Café located at the top of the Timber Bowl Express chairlift. It is surrounded by the Lizard Mountain Range, providing a magical backdrop for “I dos.” Here, you can express your love and commitment on a wrap-around deck before up to 100 guests. Another ceremony option is Elk Top. This area is at the top of the Elk Quad chairlift and the deck looks like it’s floating in mid-air. It overlooks the Elk Valley’s tranquil and natural surroundings. The Elk Top can also accommodate up to 100 guests. Vow exchanges can take place at Lizard Creek by the lodge as well. Its lawn has a beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. This space accommodates up to 120 and is ideal for those that want a ground-level ceremony.
Receptions can be held in one of three locations at the resort. In the Cirque Restaurant, guests encounter a dining setting that demonstrates a romantic and refined vibe. The restaurant's decorations and design are well suited to nuptial celebrations. Cirque can accommodate up to 120 guests. In the Griz Lodge, couples can host fetes with 125 to 200 guests. Soon-to-be newlyweds can also organize weddings at the Griz Bar. It is situated in the resort’s village plaza and is both relaxed and elevated, ideal for casual and upscale events alike. The bar can accommodate up to 80 guests.
