Lovely Ceremony and Reception
September 2024 Bride here!
One of the things that sold is to having our wedding at the Marriott were the windows in the reception area.
We had our ceremony in the courtyard which turned out beautifully.
Rachael was absolutely amazing to work with! Helped to walk us through the details and assured me that everything would work out well.
Would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding and other events.September 2024 Bride here!

Amazing venue
The venue coordinator Rachael is extremely helpful, responsive and her eye for detail is what makes her great at her job. She gets it done.
The updated courtyard is beautiful and the waterfall was a big hit with guests for photos. Although it rained and we were unable to use the courtyard for our ceremony, we used the foyer area outside of the ballroom as a backup plan and it turned out beautiful.
The food and drinks staff are amazing, and the manager Rob constantly checked on us to make sure everything was going smoothly. The bar staff were sooo fun!

So easy to work with!
We have our wedding room block here and it has been SO EASY to work with the events team. There were a few times our block had booked up quickly and they were so flexible with allowing us some extra rooms. Thank you guys for making this so easy for us and NOT STRESSFUL whatsoever. Venue tour
We haven't hired then just yet but we were very pleased with the venue tour and Amdrew was able to answer all our questions. Amazing venue! Awesome customer service!
Not sure where to begin with this one. We had a very last minute venue situation happen for our wedding (talking 3 weeks before), and had booked this hotel as our place to stay so we thought we would take the big big chance that they might have an opening for a wedding on our date.... THEY DID! :) This was great news. Not only that, but Andrew Clarke the sales manager was absolutely amazing! He answered all of my questions in a timely manner and was so incredibly empathetic and definitely extremely helpful! We had one issue arise, and the general manager (whos name escapes me right now) was 100% on the ball and called when he said...Not sure where to begin with this one. Exceptional Experience
This venue was welcoming from the start. Throughout out the rollercoaster of COVID they stuck by us and made sure we would get full refunds if things had to be cancelled suddenly. Some of my guests did cancel on us 24hrs before our wedding and I still got a refund on their plates.
The food was amazingly done. My guests had nothing by compliments to say. There was so much food people were extremely full and happy.
The manager Andrew Clark was very responsive every step of the way. He answered any question I had and did everything he could to make our day special. When my other vendors came to do their thing he was there to assist them. Overall would reccomend for a stress free experience.This venue was welcoming from the start. As the Courtyard is the only halfway decent hotel in Hamilton, the hotel block for our wedding was set up with them. If any other hotel would have been available, I would have cancelled the block and sent our guest elsewhere.
Nine months out from the wedding, Marriott repeatedly told guests the hotel (and block) were completely booked. Knowing this wasn't the case since our save the dates hadn't even gone out yet, I called and tried to make my own reservation. I too was told the hotel (and block) were booked. When I questioned their statements, I was told once again no rooms were available. Finally I was given a room but told that only the rooms...As the Courtyard is the only halfway decent hotel in Hamilton, the hotel block for our wedding was set up with them. When I questioned their statements, I was told once again no rooms were available. Finally I was given a room but told that only the rooms in my block were available. Shockingly, as it got closer, more rooms became available. However as it got closer and closer to the wedding, guests were frequently told no rooms were available. I find this especially hard to believe given that my father in law was able to reserve a room that same day.
The rooms are nice and decorated well, but SMALL. My parents reserved a suite where we got ready. Four of us stayed there the night before the wedding. We had been told the room slept 4, but the pullout bed is definitely a twin. If you have more than 3 people, you'll want to reserve a second room.
The staff wasn't all that friendly either. Others in the bridal party commented how they did everything they were supposed to do and said the correct things, but nothing seemed genuine. However, the hotel did email all guests to let them know of street closures the weekend of the wedding and did their best to ensure that only guests / those with guests were parking in the lot.
All in all, Courtyard served its function and everyone coming to the wedding from out of town had a place to stay. But the hotel block and the hotel's refusal to allow guests to reserve rooms turned out to be a larger headache than I expected. -
