We recently got married at the Coast Canmore Hotel and had a wonderful experience overall. The venue has been recently renovated, and it really shows the space was beautiful, modern, and very spacious, which made for a perfect backdrop to our day.
Communication with the team was generally good, though at times it was a little tricky to schedule meetings since they were quite busy. That said, they were very accommodating with everything we requested, which made the planning process much smoother.
While we weren’t able to have our little pup join us for the celebration, and we didn’t get the chance to do a tasting beforehand, the food on the day turned out to be quite good. The bartenders were also friendly and helped keep the energy of the reception lively.
We brought in our own décor, which the venue allowed us to do, and it really helped make the space feel personal and beautiful. Parking did come with a fee, but the discounted guest rate was a big help.
Overall, the Coast Canmore Hotel is a stunning venue in the mountains and a truly memorable place to get married. -

We had our wedding reception at the Coast Canmore Hotel in July 2025 and had the most amazing experience. The staff was all wonderful to work with, from the event coordinators who helped to plan the day just as we wanted it, to the staff working the day of our wedding, we were so impressed with every single one of them. The food served was enjoyed by all of our guests, and thanks to everyone’s hard work and attention to detail we had a stress free day which ran exactly as we dreamed of. We would highly recommend the Coast Canmore Hotel to anyone considering having their wedding here ! -

Jackie Sent on 29/08/2024A few difficult staff members, Messed up reservations, requests not met
We just had our wedding on August 24, 2024. Up until about a month before my wedding I had zero issues then a new coordinator was added to my event and he came in and changed things on my contract which I brought up and they were dealt with. they tried to add on a $500 fee for artificial white flower petals saying it would damage their carpets and I refused to sign the waiver, they wanted or pay the $500 which I’m glad I did because when I arrived, their carpets were already stained and damaged. They attempted to take a final payment out two weeks before it was due, which was a breach of contract. The manager of the hotel had to take over my wedding because the two coordinators kept doing things wrong. When my guests arrived, they were given two queen bedrooms when they had booked a king room and had confirmation of a king room and were still refused a king bedroom. One of my guest were given a room key, then checked into a room where somebody was sleeping in the bed. The only good thing I have to say about this venue is the manager was great to deal with in the end and Caleb the event coordinator who manages the waiter staff and food was amazing. The food was the only thing that saved this venue because that was phenomenal, but I’m pretty sure you can find another venue with phenomenal food that will cause you less of a headache. -

We booked a private room for our intimate reception at Tables, and boy we got so many compliments from it. The food was the bestt!! And they even accommodate our request to come early to set up our decor. The staff were so so nice and very polite. And when it comes to the price, it’s also very budget friendly and we already have a 3course meal! HOW COOL IS THAT. Ambiance is great too! I would recommend it for intimate dinners/wedding reception. -

Charlotte was very responsive through the entire planning process and made sure to check in on us day-of. She was also very accommodating with our pups being in the wedding party and making sure there was no food/drink in the room that would conflict with this.
We went with the cougar creek buffet and many of our guests commented on it being the best food they had had at a wedding. Keith, the head chef even stopped in to make sure everything met expectations. We had the poutin bar and pizza as a late night snack and it was amazing, no one could even tell we had requested vegitatian gravy.
Owen.C was our bartender and gave the best service we have ever experienced. Was very engaging with the guests and on top of what was going on, even providing estimates on bar tab upon request.
Some of the guests from the wedding next door started hanging out at our wedding and playing games. Since we had an open bar and they did not as soon as they started coming in Owen approached me to see if I wanted them to be able to order from our bar since it would end up on our bill. We did not. He was very observant and tactful the entire time while directing the other guests to their own bar and offering top tier service to our guests. My mom ordered a drink for one of the ladies she was talking with and he went as far as to ask her if the bride was okay with it. I've never seen someone offer so much care and consideration in their job.
Caleb, the manager, checked in multiple times. Seeing if we needed more food, making sure everything was going smoothly and made the day stress free with his attention to detail and amazing staff.
