Our wedding at A Bear & Bison Inn was nothing short of perfection! From the moment we arrived, everything was flawlessly organized. Brooke was amazing, always ready to answer our questions and help us navigate the process. Lonny and the entire staff ensured everything went off without a hitch, providing outstanding service throughout. The entire weekend exceeded our expectations, and the food was absolutely fantastic—our guests are still talking about it! With its breathtaking venue, top-notch staff, and mouthwatering meals, our wedding weekend was truly unforgettable. We highly recommend this venue to anyone seeking a beautiful, stress-free celebration! -

Lonny, Brooke and the whole team at A Bear and Bison were amazing for our winter wedding. We would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a mountain wedding near Calgary. The inn is PERFECT for those who want to keep things intimate but still want to have a big celebration with lots of friends and family. Most other venues are either geared towards elopements or gatherings of 100+. This one is a rare gem.
Highlights:
- All-in-one ceremony and reception venue with versatile packages.
- Experienced chef and excellent food
- Communicative and supportive staff from start to finish
- Experienced in-house wedding coordinator
- Venue is already rustic and beautiful - you don't need to pretty it up (decor is available in-house if you want)
Plus, there's a unique "fire and ice" nighttime ceremony option by fireside for those who want to make the big day magical and unique.

Winter wedding of my dreams
The bear and bison inn was the best choice we could have made for our wedding. They took all the stress of planning a wedding and made it super easy they had everything taken care of for us, as well as the vendors they hired for photography and hair and make up and the commissioner were fantastic and super easy to communicate with. The inn was a very sweet and cozy place to have the wedding and the food was fantastic I’ve never experienced anything like it. The service, staff, and owner are second to None! We were married at The Bear and Bison in 2014, an unforgettable weekend! Great food, drinks, and gold star service. We were so happy we decided to celebrate our 10th anniversary here again. No change in 2024 with the service and small special touches. We will never forget the times we spent here and will continue to support a very special venue. All our friends and family can not say enough good things about their experiences here, they were blown away by the food and special attention the staff gives. Perfect small wedding in Canmore
This was the most wonderful, low stress venue! We do appreciated all the assistance Lony & Brook provided with their detailed planning documents, recommended vendors, day of coordination, printed day plans and advice for our guests. It made planning a wedding from a distance a dream!
We used the officiant they kindly provided, & chose all our vendors from their recommendation list, & received outstanding service from all of them!
The food was absolutely outstanding, & we received so many compliments from our guests who ate their full and then some!
Brook decorated the outdoor gazebo beautiflly, and the atmosphere (& photos) were perfect.
We went with our photographer to have a photoshoot in the mountains after the ceremony and those are exquisite too.A Bear and Bison Canadian Country Inn's reply:
