Rent, Borrow, or Buy - Groomsmen's Attire

We bought. Our guys are just wearing button ups and shorts so renting wasn’t really an option. On the plus side, the shorts were $35 and are nice but wearable post wedding and the button ups were on sale for $20. The shoes they’re wearing were also on sale for $20. So for $75 the guys have what they need and can wear the shorts and shoes again easily. Whether or not they’ll be able to wear a purple button up again, who knows lol.

We will be renting but FH will biy his and have his customized.

It's a mix. My dad owns a bunch of suits from his job (recently retired from, but they are still all look great). My FH and his groomsmens are going to be renting most likely. Not sure what is going to happen with a bridesman on my side of the party...probably renting.

Buying! Dress pants and ribbon shirts

My bridesman bought a suit, he is the only man in the wedding party so I was super flexible with what he wore. He is in another wedding this year and bought a suit that worked well for both.

All of our groomsmen bought a new suit for the wedding but we are renting their ties because why buy them for $40 each when we can rent them for $15 each? None of them care about the ties but they all were excited to buy a new suit lol

Umm...not sure. I mean, the groom isn't renting, so that would be up to the boys...probably buy. Also, not really a problem, since we don't have a wedding party.

The groomsmen will be renting. None of them need a suit bad enough that it’s worth them paying for a new one.

Rent. My FH went to Moore's and got a custom made suit and set up a package for his father and groomsmen to rent. Then with them all renting he gets a $400 shopping spree which will cover his shoes, tie, shirt, etc.

We don’t have a wedding party. My FH bought a custom suit from Moore’s. It fits him perfectly and he couldn’t be happier.

We will be renting.

Renting! I wish it was as easy for women to rent dresses as it is for guys to rent suits...

Renting- we found a line with Collins formal wear, you can love it or lease it. Meaning buy or rent. Which works great for us

Renting! Unless there is a wicked deal on buying a suit. We will most likely purchase the accessories (socks) for the guys as part of their gift

My FH is still on the fence about buying vs renting, though I'd prefer that he buy.

Buying! We discussed renting but it is only a little bit cheaper than buying suits and when you buy you get it custom fit to your body and it comes in more colour options.

My FH and his best man and groomsmen are buying their suits. We go to enough weddings that they will be very useful in the future.

Good question! I think my dad and FFIL will be purchasing, as for the groomsmen, I really have no idea yet!

My FH was going to rent a suit but the store had an amazing sale on, so he ended up buying one as it wasn't much more then renting.

I think the rest of the wedding party is a mix- some already own a black suit, one may be renting and another may be borrowing.
