We are situated on a thirty acre farm in Upper Granville, NS.

We are centrally located, just under two hours away from Halifax and Yarmouth.The barn at Windgate is a historic venue offering a unique enviroment for your wedding, dinner and dancing the night away.

The grand ceiling, hand-hewn beams, lace curtains, mini lights, and antiques, along with views of the horses, cows, and countryside, make Windgate the perfect backdrop for hosting a rustic yet elegant country wedding experience of your dreams.

Facilities and capacity

The Barn at Windgate accommodate up to 150 people and has three levels. The main floor offers a room to the left for beverages, gift table and lounge area and a room to the right for your caterer to setup, late night appetisers and a lounge area. From here you have access to the lower level of the barn. This level serves as a nice option for an indoor ceremony area, cocktail hour, photos etc. The lower floor connects you to a covered porch with views of the animals, mountains and sunset. Back on the main floor, there's a grand staircase that leads you to the top floor for your reception and dance.
