Facilities and Capacity
This barn has been carefully preserved to protect its historic quality. Its owners have lovingly restored the building while retaining many of the original features. The pegged post and beam barn reflects the 19th-century architectural style. With very few changes to the interior, the building exudes historic appeal. The venue boasts a main floor area and a mezzanine level where guests can view the festivities from above and photographers can capture unique images. Couples can personalize the warm wood interior with decor, lighting, and furniture to enhance the space. The venue provides tables and chairs to accommodate 99 guests. Additionally, there is an outdoor patio area where newlyweds and guests can mingle and enjoy the fresh air. It also serves as a memorable backdrop for summer ceremonies when the surrounding greenery is in full bloom. The property’s gardens and tranquil pond are beautiful spots for romantic photo opportunities. Beyond the gardens and patio, the expertly manicured field is available for guests to use for lawn games.

10 Year Anniversary Celebration
The Great Good Barn was the perfect venue for our anniversary celebration. The location. was beautiful, scenic and secluded. The property offered the perfect ratio of indoor to outdoor space and we were able to have games for our guests on the lawn and ample space for everyone to spread out. Inside the “barn” was simply magical. The stained glass and the warm wood, decorated with our wild flower theme turned out amazing. The space inside was able to accommodate our guitarist and with the tables moved aside we had a nice big dance floor.
In the evening the screened back deck was the perfect place to enjoy the view of our firework show finale.

Great Good Time
We had our wedding at the Great Good Barn and couldn’t have asked for a better location. It is a beautiful location inside and out which allowed us to have our wedding ceremony, dinner and reception all on the same premise. The ocean is close by so we had great opportunities for photos.Sent on 22/05/2020
Our guests were happy and entertained and had nothing but great things to say about our day. We were able to decorate and rearrange the barn to our liking which allowed us a perfect layout for dinner and ample space for dance.
The owners, Kat and Dieter are very creative and thoughtful and were wonderful to work with. They really went above and beyond to make sure our day went well.
We recommend this location to anyone! Not just for weddings, but all kinds of events. This place has so much potential.

Katherine & Dieter Becker
We are Katherine & Dieter Becker, the owners of The Great Good Barn. After our retirement we decided to fulfill some dreams about our property by restoring a 140 year old barn and adding a Japanese inspired garden and tea house. Our vision included inviting family and friends to enjoy these spaces with us. Most of the work we did ourselves, but when needed these special people joined in the work and so it became a labour of love. We were encouraged to open the barn for others to enjoy and now we are offering it to you. We are here to help you realize the dream for your special event and will work with you to make it happen.
