History
This property was originally settled in 1832 by William Stevenson and his wife, Elizabeth Pringle. They immigrated from Edinburgh, Scotland before settling in Canada. Originally, they built a log home, which was later replaced by a 12-room building in 1850. Their grandson, Theodore Loblaw, refurbished this house in 1927, turning it into a 16-bedroom, 15-bath haven. It also featured three sun porches, a billiard, and banquet halls. The farmland was eventually sold, but the grand house is still in the possession of William Stevenson’s descendent.
