We chose the Shawnessy Barn as our wedding reception venue. It was cozy, rustic and the lights at night make it feel so magical. Responses and communication weren't always prompt and clear at first but Jennifer was patient and had no problem breaking down anything that was misunderstood. She was always kind, caring and professional - Absolute gem of a lady!
We would recommend the space for others events in a heartbeat. -

It was such a beautiful space we opted todo our ceremony outside and reception inside and it worked out beautifully! We had about 85 guests show up but had planned for 100 and it worked out beautifully. It fit our rustic theme perfectly and loved that we could bring our own food! Everyone said the venue was perfect! -

The shawnessy barn was absolutely incredible! Our guests loved the atmosphere, it was the perfect vibe for our rustic, simple wedding. We had about 70 guests and the venue fit our guests nicely with lots of room to spare. The bartender provided did an amazing job with quick service and even helped keep some of the guests from getting too drunk while still letting them drink and have fun! Our guests really enjoyed that they were able to stay in the city with lots of options to get home, while still having that rustic charm that the barn brings. All in all I’d recommend this venue in a heartbeat - such a hidden gem in the city with outstanding value! -

I wanted to start of this review with the good points first! We ended up losing our venue we previously booked due to the property selling, and Shawnessy barn was the first back up venue recommended to us. They had us booked and had a contract signed in less than 48 hours of us having to choose a new venue. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful! If you are looking for a rustic barn setting that’s still in city limits, shawnessy barn is the place to book! The one and only downside of my experience with this venue is the communication/organization wasn’t the greatest as we got closer to the wedding day. There would be times I’d be waiting over a week just for an email reply and times where contract prices would be getting mixed up if I had a question. Other than that having my wedding at Shawnessy Barn was absolutely amazing and it’s a day I will never forget! -

We are so happy we chose the Shawnessy Barn for our wedding venue. It was rustic and cozy while still having enough room for our guests.

The Shawnessy Barn was a great place to host our wedding. It created the best atmosphere and the character of the barn was perfect for having minimal decorations. The value is unbeatable and the staff are extremely easygoing and made the whole process really simple. I really liked the fact that the venue and the bartender was including as one final fee and we were able to purchase our own alcohol. Highly recommend. -

The Barn was exactly what we were looking for within the city. It was such a beautiful venue and the perfect size! The bartender was awesome and made it so much easier to lock up. Jennifer was easy to deal with even amidst Covid! A beautiful place for a great price, I highly recommend! -

Such a beautiful venue and area! We had our wedding here this July and it was perfect! We had around 60 guest and it was the perfect size! Amazing price too! The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating! I highly recommend the barn!
