Nestled in Victoria, British Columbia, Bilston Creek Farm is a dreamy countryside wedding venue where you can say "I do" amongst lavender fields. They held their first marriage celebration in 1855 on July 19, after Bilston, England's Blinkhorn family settled on the land. Over a century and a half later, in 2018, this setting became a farm venue, with the owners building a timber-frame barn between the scenic apple orchard and rows of aromatic lavender.
Indulge in an immersive retreat-style experience where you and your loved ones can enjoy the natural beauty of your surroundings while celebrating love. West Coast luxury, picturesque backdrops, and British Columbia's heritage are all present for this milestone.
The Heritage Orchard: Home to some of the oldest pear and apple trees in British Columbia, the orchard is a favourite site for outdoor ceremonies and dinners under the string lights.
The Lavender Field: With glimpses of the sea beyond, the lavender field offers spectacular views and a stunning site for photographs.
The Barn: Custom built from local cedar and fir and hung with drying lavender in summer, our timber frame barn offers a sheltered space for dinner and ceremonies in all weather.
The Commons: Our functional farm services building includes accessible bathrooms and an outdoor storage area for barware and other service items.
The Patio: Wrapping around the barn and overlooking the lavender fields and apple orchard, the patio can be home to your cocktail hour or an al fresco meal.
The Orchard Pub: A popular gathering place for coffee and cocktails.
The Forest Bar: Dance the night away in the late-night lounge of your dreams with a bit of West Coast, speak-easy vibe.
The Wedding package gives you exclusive access to the property for the day – just you, your closest friends and family, and our dedicated team on hand so you can stay in the moment. Wander the grounds and take your pick of several stunning backdrops for your ceremony, dine under the stars or under the shelter of our timber frame barn, and take some time to explore our working farm and the beautiful park that surrounds it. Whether your idea of a perfect wedding involves slowing down to relax in nature, revelling in the excitement of your special day, and creating memories to last a lifetime, it's all possible here.
BILSTON FARM AND GROUNDS
- Exclusive property access from 10:00am to 11:00pm on your wedding day
- Access to the Bilston property, including the barn, patios, lavender fields, heritage apple orchard, and creek trails connecting to public walking paths to Sitting Lady Falls, Witty's Lagoon and Witty's Beach
- Indoor or outdoor ceremony location for up to 150 guests
- Indoor or outdoor dinner reception location for up to 150 guests
- Use of The Forest Bar for an evening of after-dinner dancing until 11:00pm
- One hour pre-wedding walk-through, the day before the wedding. 20 people max.
- The Orchard Pub as an additional outdoor service area for drinks
- Well-appointed indoor bathrooms maintained throughout the event by Bilston staff
- On-site guest parking for up to 60 vehicles
- Outdoor games area: bocce ball, ring toss, beanbag toss, croquet

Perfect wedding venue!!
Beautiful wedding venue
We had around 90 guests, and the entire flow of the venue worked perfectly. The ceremony took place outdoors, underneath the trees surrounded by nature. Cocktail hour followed on the lawn, where guests could mingle under the sun with a beautiful view of the lavender fields. It was very elegant. Dinner was held inside the barn, which was cozy, elegant, and full of character. The walls of the barn were lined with lavender which was stunning. We received countless compliments on the setting, from the scenery to the seamless flow of events.
The team at Bilston was outstanding - helpful, responsive, and incredibly well-organized. They made the day smooth and stress-free, allowing us to be present and soak it all in. It was truly everything we had hoped for, and more.
