The most magical venue + food and drink

If you are considering booking a wedding here and it is in your budget, LOOK NO FURTHER. Mary, Kevin, and the entire 100 Acre Wood team have created the most magical place that you and your guests (and their bellies!) will remember for a lifetime. Everything about our wedding was absolutely perfect and it is in large part thanks to the people behind 100 Acre Wood. A few reasons why:

- THE FOOD. Anytime I had heard of folks talking about this venue, the #1 thing they mentioned was the food and drink - which, let's be honest, is not usually what you remember from a wedding. And boy did they deliver! What's even more incredible is that they work with you to design the menu for your day from scratch - They ask what flavours and dishes we like or are special to us etc. and they work to incorporate them into the menu. While this meant we did not get to do a tasting, I never felt like we needed one because there was an inherent trust we were putting into them and their reputation speaks for itself. (Mary + Kevin previously ran Woodlot in Toronto)

- ALL INCLUSIVE. They offer "all inclusive" weddings meaning everything from menu creation, all food and drink done on-site, planning support and day-of coordination, beautiful handmade ceramics (by Mary herself!) for all dishware and wooden chairs and tables, and more. They also share a wealth of local vendors they recommend - I highly recommend working with vendors who are familiar with the venue, especially for photography and florals, as they already know the ins and outs of setup, best angles, etc.

- THE STAFF. Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming, but I have to shout out *Mary* for being so genuine, calming, and supportive throughout the entire process as it made me feel entirely at ease - so much so that I felt like I had to be missing something (but I wasn't - everything was just so well taken care of!) Additionally, *Elizah* (the assistant coordinator, who also runs her own hair business and did my hair!) was BEYOND incredible. In addition to being a talented hair stylist (which also means she's available to help remove your veil and touch up your hair if needed throughout the night), there were so many little details that she took care of that many people would not even notice, which not only made the day beyond perfect but ensured that I truly had nothing to worry about - to give one small example, I had asked to scent the room with palo santo (from my favours) in advance, and I noticed that she refreshed it throughout the night (which I hadn't asked for). I could say so much more but Google has a character limit!

- THE WEATHER. Obviously, this is not a factor anyone can control, but it's important to note when choosing a date. While late October was not our first choice, it was the last date they had available for 2022, so we took it. We were so fortunate to have a sunny day with highs of 13+, which made for a beautiful afternoon ceremony and cocktail hour, and the fall colours were stunning. It got cold at night, but the reception was fully indoors in a heated insulated space and they had blankets available too (for outside). All that said, just plan ahead if you choose a late season date, but know that you'll have a great wedding either way.

Note: It is advisable to arrange for transportation for your guests as Ubers are not readily available, which you may want to factor in to your budget. We booked group shuttles to get to/from the venue which worked well, though pay attention to communicating with them about timing (especially for taking people home) to avoid any mishaps - we had a few, to no fault of the venue, though they worked hard to help us resolve the issues the night of.

Magic in Prince Edward County.

Wow — where do we start? We originally planned to have our wedding celebration here in 2020, but with the pandemic, we ended up eloping. We still decided to do it at 100 Acre, and had a beautiful, intimate ceremony, followed by an amazing 8-course meal on the property — a day we will never forget. Two years later, we FINALLY got to share this magical space with our family and friends and it was so worth the wait. The team at 100 Acre takes care of every detail from start to finish so that you can truly be in the moment and not have to worry about a thing. They work closely with you throughout the planning process so that everything feels unique to you — from our Cava tower ceremony, oyster bar, custom cocktails, Venezuelan inspired appetizers and dishes, drag queen performance, s'more kits out by the bonfire and everything in between. Our guests had a BLAST and could not stop raving about how beautiful the venue was and how it was hands down the best food they have ever had at a wedding. We truly can't thank the team enough for bringing all these moments to life and being part of our big day.

Incredible

Mary and Kevin and everyone at 100 Acre Wood are incredible at what they do and above all else so kind. All our guests raved about how beautiful the space was, how much fun they had, and that this was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. We cannot recommend them enough! We wanted an outdoor venue (with an indoor option in case of rain), all inclusive (meaning we didn't have to coordinate rentals, and multiple other vendors), and delicious food. That is exactly what we had with 100 Acre Wood. And with Mary you're basically getting a wedding planner, which was so unbelievably helpful. Ours was a very relaxed, simple wedding and I think it didn't need much because this space is already so beautiful.
