It's been a few years since I got married, looking back on my wedding, the only thing I was unhappy with were the photos I received from Eric.
There were some tough constraints (married in winter, tough lighting in the venue), but I assumed that's why I hired a professional. The images ended up being comparable to something shot on a phone.
After being in other wedding parties and seeing the creativity of other photographers in wedding party poses and prompts, it's made me even more dissatisfied with my photos.
On top of the photos being meh, I later learned one of the secondary photographers was hitting on one of the bridesmaids all day.
Overall, I'd 100% steer clear of Eric unfortunately. Really nice, great guy, bad results. -

Incredible Photographer
Eric did an amazing job and we are so pleased with the photos he took for us during our wedding and engagement shoot. He was professional, friendly and patient. He managed to put us at ease and relax into the experience, and I think as a result of that he got to capture some really special moments. Thanks so much for everything Eric! -

We hired Eric to shoot our wedding in downtown Toronto.
We asked for the "documentary edit" version where he shoots the entire wedding, and a bit of post ceremony work.
He was very professional, and made you very comfortable. He shot the entire ceremony without you noticing he was there.
After the wedding he took us away for 20 minutes to shoot a few private shots to complete the package.
He delivered thetfinished product within 3 weeks.
It was a perfect finished product.
We couldn't have asked for more with Eric, and feel lucky he was part of our special day! -

My husband and I are beyond happy that we chose Eric Yu to capture every detail of our wedding day. From the getgo, Eric was quick to respond to my email inquiries, he was punctual the morning of the big day and he provided the fully edited material much sooner than I ever anticipated (7 weeks after the wedding). Eric was professional, courteous and made two camera shy people feel at ease and comfortable.
The planning process involved us selecting words from a list which describe our relationship and the type of feel we anticipate our wedding day will have. The song choice and the footage he chose to include in the Highlight Edit was not only extremely cohesive but perfectly illustrated what is “us.” Eric has a beautiful way of telling a story in four minutes by artistically selecting footage and dialogue. This unique and creative approach was what drew us into hiring Eric, and what separates him from other videographers who simply take video footage and put the material together. Several of the people who I shared the Edit with (who didn’t attend the wedding) not only got a glimpse of the most important aspects of the day, but said they actually felt like they were there just by watching. In my opinion, that is one of the goals when sharing the Highlight Edit, and this certainly was achieved here.
Overall, we feel that our videography vision was exceeded and Eric and Stephen captured the raw emotion we experienced in that day and presented it so tastefully. On a day where I felt considerable stress and my emotions were delicate, Eric’s calm demeanor kept me relaxed and reassured. His go-with-the-flow attitude and flexibility to transitions and last minute changes made everything feel seamless.
We are so happy that we can relive our wedding day for the rest of our lives by watching the footage from a different perspective. We would not hesitate to recommend Eric Yu to another couple getting married looking for an extremely talented videographer!

Eric has a wonderful way of telling a couple's story through his videography. It is effortless and natural. Creative and endearing. With only one meeting over Skype, and the footage from our wedding day, he somehow managed to tell our love story perfectly like he's known us for years!
The highlight video we received perfectly summed up the day: full of love and laughter. He picked out the best parts of the day, literally the highlights, and strung them together flawlessly. I've watched it more times than I can count (even on mute while eating food in public) and it always brings me so much joy! Our documentary style video was wonderful, too. A full account of the day from start to finish. We can't wait to have our friends and family over to watch it and relive the magic with us!
For the level of service and quality of work provided, Eric is very affordable and fairly priced. Communication between us was easy from the beginning. He was able to reassure us about our timeline and very flexible with providing extra hours for the day if we needed them. On our wedding day, Eric and Steven worked along side our other vendors professionally and made everything run smoothly. We could not be happier and would definitely recommend Eric Yu Photo+Cinema to everyone!
