We were their last customer. They went out of business. We should have sued.

Since this woman went out of business, there's no point in a review. But I recently found out that she didn't provide all the raw files. Now, I'm just so angry that posting this makes me feel better. Petty? Yes, it is! I know.

A friend, who is a video editor, agreed to do a wedding video for us if he got all the raw files. He didn't get around to it right away because of health and work, and we didn't follow up (it's his time and he's not charging us). There was no rush, and a year went by without talking about it. But he recently revisited the files and informed us that most of the audio files were missing, although we were supposed to get all the files from the wedding.

There were red flags before the wedding, but since she did my friend's wedding, I thought little of it. The quality of the videos we received had terrible audio, and some videos had visible distortion. She ruined our videos and didn't deliver everything we discussed.

The contract for delivery was nine months. She took over 1 year to deliver all the videos.

One month before delivery, she assured us we'd have all our videos by the contract deadline. Two days before the deadline, she says she needs more time and extends delivery by two weeks. She delivers 1/3 videos and only then does she mention there were audio issues. Obviously she did nothing for 10 months, otherwise she would have caught the audio issues well in advance. One month later she was experiencing health issues. Another month later she has COVID. We didn't receive all our videos until January 25 -- 53 weeks after our wedding.

We were her last customer, and she was going out of business. If she had been honest from the beginning that she had health issues and may not deliver on time, I would have been much, much more forgiving and we would have waited. But she lied, made excuses, and dragged us along for months only to deliver garbage. Then she wanted me to pay her $400 to store the files on a flash drive. After lying and breaching her contract, not offering a discount, and delivering crap for one of the most important days of our lives, she still thought she was worth the $400 to transfer files to a flash drive.

Because we got the raw files (Google upload), we decided not to sue.

WE SHOULD HAVE SUED. We should have had a professional verify the files and do the work instead to know what we were missing. We didn't and there isn't much we can do now (but vent).

I hope she has fully recovered and is doing much better. But, I sincerely hope she doesn't screw anyone over again in whatever venture she pursue's next.

Petawabano/blacksmith wedding

My husband and I were so impressed and pleased with the outcome of our wedding video. She helped up relive our special day and we are grateful for that. She was very professional and easy to work with. Sometimes we didn’t even notice her sneaky captures during our wedding which makes it special because we got to see moments we did not notice during our day.

Great work - very happy!

The videos from our wedding were fantastic!! Stephanie did an incredible job filming as well as putting all of it together in an amazing way. She really made the narrative flow in the highlights reel, and weaved the speeches and emotions of the day together in the compilations. We are so impressed.
