Aperture Lane was a joy to work with. Ryan was great from the beginning, ensuring that he understood us and what our wedding was going to be like. His energy and positive vibes made everything really easy for our photos and videos. On the day of, the team of Ryan, Lisa and Zim were excellent, helping us out with the little things and were a joy to work with for our special day. The photos are fantastic and it was so great reliving our wedding through watching the videos as well. They did an amazing job! Thank you for all that you've done for us! -

Working with Ryan and Tristan from Aperture Lane exceeded my expectations. As a bride, there is so much to navigate and it put me at ease once we decided to book Aperture Lane for our videography. It felt like a huge weight alleviated knowing it was in very capable hands. We had our wedding in Barbados where my husband and I live, but all of our guests were coming from out of town.
Ryan and Tristan were super capable on-site and remained in control the whole time. They were flexible to work with and capable of handling a lot of different places at once, procuring equipment they needed for shooting, and navigating the island with little involvement from us. It was very easy to work with them and the end result with the edit was outstanding!
The end product video was a really nice length and beautiful, capturing key moments seamlessly and a really lovely blend of emotions. I was blown away by how much they were able to cover with our guests and key people who are important to us. They made it feel like we could go back to the experience and will truly be something we will appreciate for many years to come.

Ryan and his team at Aperture Lane are the real deal! From the first intro video call, Ryan made us feel so comfortable and instantly showed us that Aperture Lane was the right team to capture our love story. 5 mins into our couple photo shoot our worries about feeling awkward in front of the camera were gone. They were able to effortlessly capture our love, playful, and silly sides. And then shocked us with some beautiful editorial style shots we never thought we could pull off - but we did! The communication leading up to and on our wedding day was top tier. This was the key to us being able to just live in the moment because we knew Aperture Lane had us. They understood the type of couple we were, the vision we had and in the end the pictures were beyond our expectations!
We would 100% recommend Aperture Lane to anyone getting married. If you do go with them please really consider adding their videography package as well. If there was one thing we would do differently is add this because it really would have been the icing on the cake.

Aperture Lane and company, are just that good at what they do. With Ryan at the helm, he made us feel very comfortable from the beginning. At no point when talking about price or our vision did he make us feel like we weren't valued, or not heard. From start to finish, everything was transparent and we had a blast working together the entire time. Would recommend to anyone again. -

My wife and I were researching in Fall 2021 for a wedding photographer/videographer and a friend of mine who is a fellow videographer recommended Ryan from Aperture Lane. We knew that this recommendation came from a place of respect for another person's talent. After watching several of Ryan's videos on YouTube, we were amazed by how flawlessly he captured the emotions from the wedding and converted it into a short story. We instantly reached out to Ryan and he scheduled a greeting session over video call. Ryan was charming, knowledgeable, and professional. He worked with us to share our vision and worked backwards to figure out logistics for a wedding that happened in two countries and 7 events.
Ryan and his team provided us with an engagement shoot where our vision was for it to be captured during a snowfall. He was flexible and extremely understanding that the weather was not cooperating. On the day of the engagement shoot, he bared the cold and took magazine-worthy shots that could impress anyone. He put together social media footage that we were able to share as well.
After 2 events in Toronto, Ryan and Tristan flew out to the Dominican Republic with 95 of our family and friends and were ready to photograph and take videos of 5 more events. He worked with us every day he was there. In between events, we found Ryan and Tristan hanging out with our family and friends and playing games like old pals. It warmed our hearts knowing that they were so comfortable with our family.
Our final video and photographs were available after the wedding through a special portal online that Ryan provided. This was an amazing way to share our footage with our loved ones.
Our final thought. We can't imagine ourselves working with any other person. Ryan created an environment that allowed us to be ourselves while having fun planning a wedding. Not once did we feel stressed as he helped keep us organized and thought out every detail. Ryan captured all the excitement of the wedding perfectly. Every time we watch the video/photos we feel the joy all over again, it's like reliving the wedding through his lens.
