The best wedding coordinator!
Makayla was the best wedding coordinator we could have asked for. She helped to make sure every single detail was planned and accounted for. She was helpful, calm, and understanding throughout the whole process. We were able to completely relax on the day of our wedding because we knew that Makayla had everything covered. Our guests are still raving about how kind she is and what a great job she did. The wedding of our dreams came true because of Makayla and we highly recommend her to be your coordinator!-

Everyone needs a Makayla
Makayla did the most incredible job on our wedding!! We can’t thank her enough. She kept us organized in the months leading up, found all the things we missed in our contracts, went above and beyond on set up and take down on the day… I really can’t say enough good about this woman. PLUS she is so lovely to be around and has the patience of a saint when you’re in the thick of it. She is the reason our day was so magical, book her while you can!! -

Can't Say Enough Great Things About Our Wedding Planning Experience with Makayla
Makayla helped us plan our wedding in Cochrane, Alberta while we were living in Melbourne, in the midst of an international move, and doing a 4 month road-trip across Australia. Honestly, we might not have pulled it off without Makayla! She guided us through the planning process and made everything feel easy, stress free, and organised. Thanks to Makayla, we genuinely had fun planning our wedding. Makayla is easy to work with, honest, and kind. She worked flexibly across time zones and adapted to our bad reception and meetings from outback campgrounds. Our wedding day was the best! and it felt like it totally reflected us. Makayla's detailed organisation and calm demeanor allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the day. Thank you Makayla!-

Makayla was EXACTLY what we needed!
When I met Makayla at a bridal expo, I instantly felt connected to her and felt confident that she would be a good choice for our wedding. She is kind, patient, organized and wants to really understand her clients and their needs. Her package prices were affordable and I felt comfortable moving ahead with her. Our meetings leading up to the wedding were productive and yet we also felt like friends meeting up for a coffee. She listened carefully to what we wanted and made excellent recommendations. On the actual wedding weekend... oh gosh I am tearing up just writing this... she helped navigate a tricky situation with my dress, which had gone through a chemical mishap with the dry cleaners. She kept me calm and took the situation into her own hands, communicating with the cleaners and driving the dress from Kananaskis to a meeting point closer to Calgary (and getting it back the next day). On the actual wedding day, she kept the event on time, decorated, made signs, coordinated all the vendors and my friends/family, and probably did a bunch of things I don't even know about!! We watched this absolute angel work into the late hours, tidying and organizing and gently ensuring that our rowdy friends didn't break too many rules. I can't say enough about Makayla- We just love her. -

You need MK Events to help you with your wedding
Booking Makayla from MK Events to help us coordinate our wedding was the best wedding decision we made and we aren't sure what we would have done without her support and guidance along the way (and I'm not exaggerating).
We booked the month of and day of coordination package (the Boutonniere). From the moment we booked Makayla we had access to her amazing planning software and we had regular touch points with her to check in, provide updates and ask questions we might have. This helped us stay on track with all our planning.
About 4 to 6 weeks before our wedding she took over all the coordination with our vendors, which alleviated a lot of extra stress from that time. On the day of our wedding she helped with all the set up and take down, coordination of vendors and any other details that came up. We actually got to enjoy our wedding day and felt like guests at our wedding.
Makayla is extremely organized, efficient and professional. This paired with her amazing calm, caring and bubbly demeanor is the perfect combination for a wedding coordinator. She was able to put us at ease when we were stressed and she could be direct and efficient when that was needed.
Our favourite part of our experience with Makayla was that we really felt like we got to know her, and she got to know us along the way. This made it easier to put our wedding into her hands and trust that she would be able to help us make decisions that would be true to us and our vision for our wedding. This personable approach is a game changer and you will not regret booking MK Events for your wedding.-

Great experience, highly recommend
Makayla was great to work with and super helpful throughout the planning process. She was especially great on our wedding day and I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of. My only wish is that we had talked more about things she could have taken on as we didn't end up using the full services for the package we picked (she did refund us the amount we did not use though). Makayla is great to work with and I highly recommend for any couples. -

Makayla came highly recommended by a close friend who got married before me, so I quickly reached out to her when I was planning my wedding. After meeting with her, we contracted Makayla's planning and day of coordination services for our wedding, and she was truly amazing. We were hesitant, at first, to get a wedding coordinator as we had budgetary constraints, but we quickly learned that a wedding planner and coordinator is one of the most important vendors you can work with for your wedding. It is money well spent, and Makayla can turn your dream into a reality; honestly, working with her was a dream! She ensured that the whole planning process was smooth, with as little stress as possible, and she took charge in her friendly, professional, kind, fun, and caring way to ensure all the details - big and small, were organized and taken care of. Makayla goes above and beyond to work with you, your vendors and your wedding party (and that list goes on) to ensure that your wedding day and the process/events leading up to it are perfect. Many of our family members and vendors who engaged with Makayla shared that they were so happy with her and the helpful information she provided them to ensure everything went smoothly. As the bride, I felt the same way. My entire wedding weekend (the dress rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, welcome party, ceremony, and reception) all fell into place seamlessly, and I was free from worry or stress because Makayla was there for me and my groom - with her calm and dedicated approach. Makayla is an expert at her work and performs it gracefully and joyfully. I honestly feel so grateful to have had Makayla be such an essential part of my wedding - I would not have had it any other way! Wedding day lifesaver
When I tell you Makayla was the hero of our wedding day, I am not saying enough. We, like many couples had to cancel and reschedule our event due to covid. We unfortunately, had to make this decision less then 72 hours prior to the event. Mak took control of everything an eased my anxiety so much. She contacted vendors, and helped ensure we didn't lose insane amounts of money, she gave us specific to do lists so all we had to do was act and not think- which was such a gift. She even helped work with vendors to help us lose minimal money in deposits as a result of the reschedule. Not only that she then helped us re-plan our new wedding date after I was too burnt out to even think straight. The days leading up to the wedding she was a life saver in every sense of the word. I was sick from stress and she literally handled everything beautifully, even running out to get champagne during our reception when we ran out. I could spend hours talking about how wonderful Makayla is and how perfect she made our wedding day. 12000000% recommend, it will be the best money you spend for your big day. -

Our wedding was magical
Working with Makayla was an amazing experience and made the wedding planning process feel unbelievably stress free and seamless!! She helped us define our aesthetic, coordinated with all of the vendors, was on point the day of keeping everything on schedule, and most importantly made us feel confident and extremely cared for. She's always available to chat. Her little touches (personalized activity bags for the kids, designing the wedding invites and programs, and assembling decor) went above and beyond in making the wedding magical. She'll bring your vision to life and we could not recommend her enough!-

Makayla is Amazing!
Hiring Makayla as our wedding coordinator was the best decision we made for our wedding! She has such a calm and welcoming presence that she is able to use so well to make her clients feel secure throughout the whole planning process as well as during the wedding day. She is equal parts funny, comforting, and sincere and truly made us feel that she cared about us and our wedding. She made sure to check in with both of us throughout the day to make sure everything was going well.
Makayla was very organized and kept me on track during the planning process and gave me next steps to do. She created a detailed timeline and helped to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks. I felt so much more relaxed on the wedding day knowing Makayla was there to keep everything going smoothly. She seems to have a magical ability to both take control of situations as needed, but also to fade into the background when appropriate (in a good way!).
Makayla was a great communicator with us, as well as all of our vendors, wedding party members, and MC. At the end of the day, our wedding photographer mentioned to me that they were very impressed and would like to work with Makayla again in the future. We were in full agreement!
It was wonderful to know Makayla was problem solving behind the scenes, doing set up, communicating with everyone, and helping with getting the venue back in order after the wedding. She really took a large weight off my shoulders as the bride. Thank you so much for everything Makayla!!
