Love, love, love how our wedding photos turned out! David and his team were amazing on the day of our wedding. They truly captured our special day. They definitely made us feel comfortable when it came to our awkwardness and shyness in front of the camera. David and Marianne made planning and scheduling the wedding day timing seamless with prior meetings. The team guided us on our wedding professionally with a family like environment.
We are truly grateful for their talent, vision and experience they provided. We definitely recommend Visions by David! -

They love what they do, and it shows!
We were recommended to Visions by David by a friend back in 2019 when we were planning our 2020 wedding. After our first meeting, my now husband and I literally signed a contract on the spot because we were blown away by their work and their passion for what they love to do. Fast forward to 2020 when the pandemic hit and our wedding got cancelled 1.5 months before our big day. Visions by David were great about rescheduling with us and this past August we were finally able to do our dream wedding photoshoot. The results were amazing and it's been great working with David and Marianne. You can really tell they absolutely love what they do! -

We hired David to shoot our backyard wedding celebration and were blown away with the resulting pics! David has an incredible talent for capturing beautiful, genuine portrait pics of family and guests, as well as our couple shots. David’s true talent shines as he’s not only gifted in portrait shots, he’s also incredibly talented in capturing artistic, scene-setting shots. It’s extremely rare to find a photographer who can do both beautiful, artistic shots as well as portraits. We were blown away by both.
On top of the great images, David and his team/Marianne were such wonderful people to work with. They were very communicative and responsive to our questions, before we hired them, after we hired them through the wedding day, as well as after the wedding. Every step of the journey you knew their focus was to ensure we were happy with the pics and had a wonderful experience. To top it all off, the pictures were ready so fast! It was such a treat to be able to relive the day with family and friends who stayed on after the wedding.
We can’t say enough wonderful things about David and team and highly recommend them to anyone looking to capture a special day, whether wedding, family occasion or special event. -

Visions By David is a family run business which employs every member of their family, from David and Marianne to their now adult children; Ryan, Justin, Joel and Desiree. Each of them has their strengths, whether it be photography, video, editing or even a special knack for getting those rare shots from little kids that make family and friends say "awwww", and are an integral part in covering your day or event.
I've long admired the work of Visions By David, but assumed that with their level of experience and time in the business that we'd never be able to afford their services when the day came for our special day. Still when it came time to begin having conversations with photographers for our destination wedding in PDC, Mexico we reached out to them anyway to see what, if anything was possible.
Meeting with David and Marianne was like meeting with old friends right from the get go, David is the artist and Marianne his director (well sort of, but aren't all wives their husbands directors, haha). We felt super comfortable with them from the get go and when we expressed our concerns about budgets and the like, the told us not to worry and that they would work within our budgets and produce something extra special and memorable.
We decided on a photo and video package for the wedding, and in addition to their fees we paid for the travel of 3 team members. While this might sound like a lot, having the team there 24/7 was great as most photographers you would hire for a wedding in Mexico as we found would charge nearly the same but for 4-5 hours of work on the day of - and you have no in person contact with them before arriving on location.
They were true professionals, upon arrival they got to work, walking every square inch of the resort (and off) to find ideal locations and then measuring the lighting days in advance at different times of day so they knew exactly what sort of situations they would be dealing with and where would be best for us to get the best pictures.
Where their experience showed was in helping us organize our day of photos so that we were able to maximize every instant and capture it all. They planned a full day where they were able to get the guys getting ready and having some fun while the ladies were getting their hair and make up done, then transferring over to the ladies and the eventual first look and group shots before the ceremony and reception.
The benefit of having the team there is they all knew what to look for and if a hand or head was misplaced, or people weren't lining up properly you had not 1 but 4 sets of eyes calling details out to ensure every picture was picture perfect.
In addition to our wedding, we also planned to do an offsite shoot at a cenote (naturally occurring cave with water in it). Because of their time in the business they knew who to talk to and where to go to ensure this experience was private, special and amazing.
While the video does take a bit longer to get done, it should be arriving soon but if it's anything like the pictures we have (over 1000 awesome shots) I know we'll be able to relive the magic of our wedding day for years and years to come.

Thank you to Visions by David for being the #1 vendor we picked for our wedding day! I have been following the family's work for several years and I have always been in awe of their creative and beautiful work. My husband and I knew there would not be anyone better to capture our special day! We are extremely lucky to have them shoot our engagement shoot and our wedding! We received the photos very quickly and we love the passion, detail, and artistry demonstrated in every shot. They are experts as they know the best angles and use the surroundings to the fullest to capture beautiful portraits. They took care of us from the beginning of the wedding process, on the wedding day, and afterwards as they treat their clients like their family. Visions By David captured all the details that allow us to revisit our special day whenever we want. Beautiful photos for small home wedding
We met David, Marianne and Joel at the Canada Bridal Show while searching for a photographer on very short notice for our small at-home wedding.
They made an impression on us immediately by the level of detail and interest that they showed in our wedding plans, and quickly made our short-list as we went through the options.
Our concern was because we had relatively simple DIY decorations and a homey setting their talents might be wasted on us, but they reassured us that their forte was in making magic moments happen out of nowhere. We are so happy to report that the Lai family delivered on that promise and then some.
The resulting photos we received of our wedding day are amazing, and we are so impressed with the skill and creativity that David, Marianne and Joel showed in creating beautiful, dramatic shots out of objects and locations that we had around the house.
We are equally impressed with their energy, professionalism, friendliness and how much care they took in making sure our friends and family got great photos with us. Many of our guests commented about how much fun this family photography team was to hang out with!

The best photo/videographers
Where do I even begin, I have followed David and his family's work since Gr.9. 12 years later, it was a dream come true to have them as my photographer/videographers. Today is actually my one month wedding anniversary and I had received the best gift today which were my wedding photos & videos. I was expecting to receive them a lot longer but they were so fast! Working with David and his family was the best! Their passion is reflected in their work and their working dynamic is so in sync that you know you are getting your memories captured from the best angles. The creativity they have as an artist and an eye for detail makes you so thankful to have chosen them to capture the little things that you often miss out on the wedding day. I am in love with my photos and videos and I can't wait to share them to the world. -

Met the entire family at the bridal show and they were so amazing! My fiance and I were in awe with the talent they have and how amazing all the photographs are in their portfolio. They were so sweet and answered our every question. Would definitely recommend!
