Jo was amazing!
Jo exceeded our expectations. We got our preview the next day and the photos are beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned. We loved her moody style and the way she captured the real raw emotions of the evening! We can’t thank and recommend her enough :) -

Jo was the photographer for our wedding on August 28th, 2025. I felt like a fish out of water not knowing what I was doing and she gave me so much comfort by just walking me through it so smoothly. Jo brought an energy that made our stressful day not stressful at all. She was helpful in ways beyond her job, helping my husband with his pocket square and many other small things that I didn’t have time to think about. Our family has been raving about how she made our family photos organized, effortless, fun and quick. Everyone appreciated it. She is a true professional and it showed. She loves her job and you could feel it. We received some great sneak peaks by 10 am the next morning and are SO excited to see the rest. Worth every penny. Thank you Jo, from the bottom of our hearts! -

When it came to finding a photographer, the feeling was both overwhelming and stressful. Jo was one of the first photographers we reached out to and I could not believe our luck. She was super responsive and professional through her email communication and that was just the start. Meeting Jo for the first time she truly put us at ease. She made us feel comfortable, understood and we knew right away that we could not go wrong with our decision in hiring her.
We had our engagement photos completed first. Both my husband and I were quite nervous to be in front of the camera, but again Jo made us feel so comfortable and natural. We had a blast taking photos and she was so quick to provide us with a next day preview. We were both amazed looking through all the pictures! They were so stunning and we could not believe the talent and artistry of Jo.
Our wedding day experience was just as amazing. Jo was prompt on the day of, finding an amazing last minute spot for our first look which we never would have even thought of. She truly made our dream of having beach photos come true. Jo was everywhere throughout the day, capturing all our special memories.
Again, having the next day previews (80 photos!!) was so awesome! We were able to relive our special day and share photos immediately with family and friends. We now have all the photos back from the wedding in less than a month and could not be happier. The photos are perfection and we could not be more thankful to Jo for all her hard work and amazing talent in capturing our day! -

Joanne was a delight to work with and gave us beautiful previews the very next day. All our photos turned out so beautiful - both the candids and the formals. We also got an engagement shoot included with our package which we loved and appreciated getting to work with her before our wedding. We adjusted our schedule 2 weeks before the day and Jo was super responsive and checked in with us about timing to confirm the details we wanted to capture. Overall great to work with. -

The most important thing a wedding photographer can do is make you feel comfortable and at ease infront of their camera. From our first meeting with Joanne we knew that she would make us feel relaxed and that we would have fun while she captured our intimate moments. Joanne is bubbly, outgoing, and energetic - all of which was contagious. She was able to evoke the playfulness and love that we share as a couple but was simultaneously never intruding. Joanne was able to capture our best moments and get them back to us quickly. And of course, the photos were stunning. -

We love our wedding photos! Joanne at Umbrella Tree is so talented. I really don’t like having my photo taken but Joanne makes everything feel so comfortable and natural. She is so open minded and is able to take the most breath taking photos. If you’re looking for a fun, talented and easy going photographer, look no further! -
