Exceptional Wedding Photographer for my Destination Wedding

I recently had the pleasure of working with an incredible wedding photographer Jason Shum for my destination wedding, and I cannot express enough how thrilled I am with their services. From start to finish, they delivered exceptional professionalism and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs.

Jason was very professional and personable with me and my wife and captured the greatest moments of my life. He was able to adapt very quickly on the fly to the last-minute changes of us getting rained out and was able to provide exceptional value throughout our wedding week.

Prior to our wedding, we were able to do an engagement shoot in our hometown. With very broad ideas and direction, Jason was able to create amazing shots and listened to our feedback to make us feel really comfortable with each other and him as well. These shots turned out great and made us really excited for our destination wedding.

Once we were in Jamaica, Jason was able to capture many events for our family prior to the big day as well as moments after the wedding with our private dinner on the beach the following day. Jason even offered for us to capture the moments we lost on the beach because we got rained out the next day. We just re-dressed and we were able to get the beach shots we wanted so bad. Jason was very accommodating and understanding in this situation, and did his best to make us happy here.

Jason Shum went above and beyond for us and the whole group that came with us to our destination wedding couldn’t agree more. He worked extremely hard and we appreciate his professionalism, adaptability, creativity, and candour.

Hopefully, we can do some more family shots with Jason in the future. Anyone considering a wedding photographer, look no further Jason is the best.

Jason is simply amazing. His work is incredible!!! He photographed my sisters wedding and now mine. His prices are very reasonable for the quality of work. He is very professional and dresses the part on your wedding day (looks just like another guest) he also gets not only the traditional shots that we all love, but also so many candid and fun photos! Jason was so down to earth and easy to work with! I would recommend him to anyone that wants amazing wedding photos!

Jason was a phenomenal photographer at our wedding. He is an expert at lighting, colour and composition, and the photos he took of my husband and I look so natural and candid. He also took some very creative and unique photos, and his use of lighting can only be described as 'masterful'. He is incredibly easy to work with and has a keen eye for capturing precious moments. We were thrilled with the photos we received! I would choose Jason as my photographer for any event in the future, and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional photographer.

We were so happy to have Jason as our photographer. He was knowledgeable, professional and produced absolutely stunning photos. He was kind and courteous and took many posed photos for us and our guests.

We did not have any requests for couple poses, but he made some spontaneous suggestions and took some playful and artistically beautiful moments.

He captured all our critical moments and surprised us with all the candid photos of our guests. We were so busy during dinner that we could not check in at all the tables, but Jason somehow discreetly captured all the joyous moments that we missed.

Jason was a joy to work with. He was communicative and realistic about the timeline for delivering the photos. But he still delivered them earlier than anticipated.

We would happy to recommend him for any event, and he is our first choice for any future events.

Jason was the lead photographer for our wedding (along with Mike his assistant) and they did a fantastic job. We had so many compliments on our photos. They really captured the entire day from start to finish and all the small details. We especially enjoyed all the candid photos they took that we were so surprised they captured. I remember it being very late at our wedding and Jason came by to say he was leaving, I didn't even realize he was still there capturing the party! Aside from his outstanding photos Jason was such a pleasure to work with. Very kind, professional and really easy going. I would highly recommend his service.

From start to finish, Jason helped us feel comfortable as we navigated through the unfamiliar territory of wedding photography. He was very prompt with communications, often responding to emails within hours. Jason took us out for an engagement shoot and we imagined that it would be an awkward experience, but he quickly made us feel at ease. We were unsure of exactly what kinds of shots we wanted but Jason used his keen eyes to bring out the best of our shooting locations. The day of the wedding Jason and his colleague Derek were such a pleasure to work with! They were punctual, fun and knew how to be at the right place at the right time. When the photos rolled in we were blown away by all the candid moments they were able to capture. The quality and consistency of the photos were outstanding! We wouldn't hesitate to book Jason again.

Highly recommended! One of the most difficult tasks for us during our wedding planning was to find a photographer to capture our greatest milestone. We did not know where to start or any specifics in terms of style, but luckily we were linked to Jason through the videographers we hired. Jason's professionalism and quality has went above and beyond our expectations. He was able to accommodate a request we had within his schedule and we are very grateful. My husband and I cannot say enough about just how wonderful it was to work with Jason. We wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for a photographer for any type of event!

Jason was professional, friendly, and dedicated, not to mention patient, discreet and just incredibly talented. We met with 7 photographers before him, but once we talked with him and looked at his portfolio we knew that we had found our perfect match.

We were thoroughly impressed by his level of professionalism. The photos turned out fantastic and he had no issues balancing the very wide range of skin tones we had at our events. We purchased a package that included an engagement shoot and later hired him for one of our cultural engagement events.

In summary, hire Jason. He is worth every penny. ;)

*Side note: It's amazing how many times we came across wonderful photos Jason had taken that had us thinking "I didn't even know he was there".

My wife and I are extremely thankful to have chosen Jason as our photographer for our wedding. The level of professionalism that Jason showed since the first meeting up until after getting our wedding pictures back are unmatched. We met five other photographers and we concluded that we couldn't go wrong with Jason. We purchased his highest package, which was of very good value considering everything he offered. His packages are also customizable which was great, but we wanted to take advantage of the value. He was punctual to all of our meetings and he was very thorough when discussing details about the wedding and photography ideas. He was very easy to work with and for the most part he guided us on how to pose (we are not models so we had no clue). I am still impressed at how hard he worked during the wedding (non stop from 7am to midnight). I am also impressed at how discrete they did their work. No one even noticed them going around taking pictures, but after we got our pictures back they turned out to be gorgeous. I don't want to spoil how he presents the wedding album, but it's amazing! You will have to see that for yourself. Jason was prompt at returning pictures and he was extremely reliable. We never had a doubt that he was the best person for this job. Jason is an excellent photographer who captured so many wonderful and candid moments throughout my whole wedding weekend. He was kind and professional from my first meeting on and I always felt comfortable communicating with him. His photos are really, really good and for everything he offers, his services are very reasonably priced. He is prompt, thorough and his demeanor is perfect for such meaningful and intimate events. Jason actually photographed all of my girlfriends on Thursday evening in a sort of fun, fashion shoot - then attended my backyard bbq rehearsal dinner on Friday evening and ended up staying later than we had agreed on. He captured so many beautiful candid moments of friends and family in a very thoughtful and artful way. He stayed with me all day on Saturday from getting ready photos with my mom, to the ceremony, group photos, cocktail hour and all through the dance party that followed. And those late-night dancing shots turned out to be some of the best photos we have - truly capturing the spirit and excitement of the night. Jason was absolutely wonderful and I simply cannot recommend him enough! He is knowledgeable and skilled. He is honest and friendly. And he will certainly be my photographer for years to come for any special events. When I look at my wedding photos almost a year later, it makes me think my wedding was actually more fun than it probably was because he just captured all of the best moments - smiles and turns on the dance floor and hands raised and just the best of everything.
