Experience

Dmitri started capturing images at the age of seven while playing with his grandfather’s cameras, and from there he developed a passion for art and photography. In 2003, Dmitri Markine Photography was started. Recognized as one of the top 10 wedding photographers in Canada in 2009, Dmitri has won 100s of prestigious national and international awards. Some magazines have even named him one of the best wedding photographers in the world. In addition to being featured in countless of magazines, his work has appeared in newspapers, books, popular online publications, and private galleries; coached 100s of other weddign photographers in Toronto as well as internationally.

He has also covered numerous celebrity weddings in Toronto, New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. To date, he has photographed more than 350 weddings in 14 different countries.

How they work

To ensure one-of-kind wedding photography for each couple he works with, Dmitri books a limited number of weddings per year and spends ample time on each individual event. He conducts an initial meeting to learn the vision of couples and then works on those ideas to craft their wedding images. High-resolution photos are provided within three weeks after the wedding date, and engagement pictures are delivered in two weeks. Most of the images are edited and retouched with basic color correction.

Apart from Toronto-area and destination weddings, Dmitri specializes in family, maternity, and infant portraits. He has also taught at many photography seminars and guided hundreds of wedding photographers in Toronto and abroad. Additionally, he conducts one-on-one, two-hour, and all day photography workshops.
