How do I even begin to express our gratitude for Jess' jaw-dropping depiction of our day? We came home from our honeymoon unbelievably excited to open up our gallery, and what I was met with, were the shots of my dreams. From day one, we knew that Jess had that intangible quality and an innate ability to capture people at their most natural and relaxed selves. We were flooded with emotions as picture after picture went by that absolutely encapsulated how joyous the day was and how ecstatic everyone was to be there. Jess captured moments we weren’t even aware of and are now so grateful to have. Jess, thank you for sharing our day with us, through your unbelievable eye. Being in film myself, I am always hyper aware of framing, colour and light— I knew that Jess shared such an immense respect for these elements— and her mastery of the craft shows up in EVERY photo. We will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives. She was that calming presence in a flurry of activity, that day. It was like she was never there, but somehow we knew she always was. It’s exactly the kind of intimate experience we had hoped for, where we could just keep the focus on one another. -

We are so happy we hired Jess to photograph our wedding!
We received a little sneak peak of our photos just a week after our wedding. The photos are so beautiful you can’t tell how awkward my husband and I truly are. We’re pretty reserved people and Jess was so professional and easy to work with. She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and did an amazing job at coaching us and finding the right places to take photos. I feel like she really understood our vibe and personalities based on our wedding design and captured it perfectly. Thank you Jess for creating these beautiful memories for us! We can’t wait to see the rest of the photos! -

Jess was the second thing we booked in regards to the wedding after we had a venue and location confirmed and I am so glad we were able to have her shoot our wedding! I had been enamoured with her gorgeous photos after looking for engagement photographers a few months earlier and was so thrilled that she was able to take us on and drive to Kingston, Ontario to shoot our engagement session at home and fly to Vancouver, BC for our wedding. Our engagement photo shoot was relaxed and fun and I know both me and my husband will always cherish having photos taken in our first home together in our backyard and by the Kingston waterfront. We got to know her and she was fun, approachable and made the awkward situation of posing for photos feel like we were just hanging out. Our wedding was large and full of family and friends from all over the world but Jess was still able to capture some intimate moments during our ceremony and and made a crowded national park on a long weekend look like a serene forest. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. She is thoughtful, artistic and will capture beautiful and intimate images that you will be able to cherish forever. -

Mel Sent on 10/12/2017Jess from Daring Wanderer photographed our cottage wedding in Owen Sound and an engagement shoot at one of her own secret (stunning) locations. Jess’ work speaks for itself. Her photos have movement, texture and emotion. Her use of light and shadow make for dramatic and vivid photos. She works as a single shooter with few gadgets. She doesn’t disrupt the day, just fits around it and captures it. She excels at candids and has an amazing eye which makes her work insanely fast. She also has a magical talent for making you look photogenic when you are not and making you look much better than you do in real life (or at least that was the case for me)! We could not have chosen a better photographer.

She was fast and captured every moment exquisitely. We are so thankful we chose Jess to capture our special day! She is the best and we admire our photos everyday!!

Hiring the right photographer was important to us and Jess was everything we wanted and more. We LOVE the liberties she took in documenting the moments and details of our day. The photos really read like a story and she really captured the magic we felt that day. We couldn’t believe how quickly she processed our photos and how many photos she took!! From looking at the photos you might think we had a team of photographers, but she was there all on her own. She is a ninja! We are in love with our photos. They are so gorgeous and we feel SO lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Jess. She is super easy going, talented, and professional. Highly recommended!! -

Anonymous Sent on 04/10/2016We loved working with Jess and Matt! Our photos are stunning, and they reflect a photographer who really has a gift and a keen eye for intimate and beautiful pictures. Jess was especially well-suited for the type of outdoorsy, unique setting we had at our wedding. For Jess, this is really about artistry and creativity, and that comes through in the photos. Each one could be framed in a gallery. We also asked Jess to take some more traditional family portraits, and she happily obliged - and we got through them quickly without hours of squinting in the sun! -
