Bellatrix Photography offers wedding photography and is owned by Camila Mendes. She specializes in contemporary, portraiture, and photojournalistic styles of photography and considers herself a fine art/lifestyle photographer. Camila loves to design storybooks and is willing to travel to different locations. Although she is based in Toronto, Canada, she also works in two other countries: her homeland, Brazil, and Norway, in and around Oslo. She works in Toronto from August to November, in Brazil from December to May, and in Norway during June and July.

All packages include a select number of digital images along with their printing rights. A variety of other products are also available, including digital images, storybooks, fine art prints, frames, gallery-wrapped canvases, and cards. Camila covers one event per day. How they work

Camila usually shoots from Wednesday to Sunday. However, she is also available on Mondays and Tuesdays for event coverage and commercial photography. She prefers to shoot outdoor portraits in natural sunlight, after sunrise or before sunset. Detailed editing is done on every image, and photos are provided in both colour and black and white. An online proof gallery with 100 images is provided after the session. She shoots with a Canon 5D Mark III and prime lenses for portrait sessions. Her favourite lens is a 35mm ¼.

Other services

The studio is available for business and commercial projects. Lifestyle portraits are offered for babies, children, families, maternity, couples, and personal branding. Engagement, trash the dress, and boudoir shoots are also available. Camila also offers a collection of handcrafted storybooks featuring covers made of your choice (from fine linen, genuine Italian leather, or a combination of eco-friendly materials). The pages of these storybooks are professional-grade photographic paper. Fine art prints, frames, canvases, and cards are also available.
