We’re so incredibly grateful to Rhona and the team at Young Hip & Married for helping make our wedding ceremony everything we dreamed of - and more.
Originally, we were planning to go through the provincial registry for a simple service, but a friend’s recommendation led us to Young Hip & Married, and we’re so glad it did. From the moment we reached out, the process was incredibly thoughtful and easy. We shared our date and a bit about the kind of ceremony we were hoping for, and the team came back with a few officiants who were available and a good fit. After reading through their bios and reviews, we had an introductory call with Rhona - and the rest was history.
Rhona brought such warmth, kindness, and genuine joy to the process. She worked with us to shape a ceremony that truly felt like us - playful, loving, heartfelt, and full of personality. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room, but there was also plenty of laughter, which was exactly the energy we hoped to start our marriage with.
The Young Hip & Married team was organized, thoughtful, and seamless throughout. We also took their vow-writing course, which turned out to be a fantastic resource - it gave us the structure and confidence to write personal vows that reflected our love and commitment. Hearing each other’s vows on the day ended up being one of the most moving parts of the ceremony.
We’re so thankful we chose to work with a company that specializes in making this part of the wedding truly meaningful. Thank you again to Rhona and the whole Young Hip & Married team for helping us begin our marriage with so much love and joy. -

Jordan Shaw with Young Hip and Married was our wedding officiant in October 2025 and we are so glad we chose him! He was friendly and easy to work with leading up to the wedding. He had lovely ideas (we often teared up reading them), as well as helpful suggestions when we asked for them. He was totally open to the ways in which we wanted to personalize things and did a great job conveying our vibe. Our ceremony was beautiful and went smoothly. That's thanks to Jordan's leadership and warm, positive, and fun energy. We definitely recommend Jordan and Young Hip and Married, and feel confident we made the right choice for our big day! -

Amazing celebrant!
Our celebrant Colleen married us on our accommodation in Gastown. As we were getting married from overseas we had no witnesses. Colleen arranged these for us and had everything well organised. She gave us an amazing and meaningful service which surpassed our expectations.
We can't recommend her and the company enough. -

5 stars for Young, Hip & Married!
We were so lucky to have Shawn as our wedding officiant. He created a completely personalized ceremony that was heartfelt, engaging, and full of joy. From our first chat, Shawn took the time to truly get to know us, asking great questions and using so many of the personal details we shared to write a unique script that perfectly reflected our 10-year relationship.
I loved that we had unlimited editing access to our ceremony script, but honestly, Shawn got it so right from the start that very little needed changing. Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing he was—people kept saying things like, “I don’t know why all officiants don’t do it like that!” He set the tone immediately with such positive, warm energy that matched us and our crowd perfectly. He suited our vibe and told our story so well that some guests assumed he was a close friend of ours and were shocked to find out that we didn't know him before, haha.
As someone who is not religious or super traditional, I appreciated Shawn’s open-minded and flexible approach. He is well versed in all kinds of ceremonies, and he truly tailors his work to each couple. He’s also just so fun to talk to—friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and clearly a total pro at what he does.
The night before, Shawn guided us through every detail of the ceremony and shared super helpful tips. He also arrived early on the day to help with the legal paperwork signing (which I loved, since I didn’t want to do that part in front of everyone).
If you want a personalized ceremony that feels true to who you are, I could not recommend Shawn more. You will feel like you are in good hands working with him; he’s the best officiant in the Lower Mainland / Vancouver area hands down. Thank you to Shawn and the team at Young, Hip & Married for helping make our ceremony the one of my dreams! ❤️ -

My husband and I had Shawn as our wedding officiant! We were so pleased with his professionalism, his sense of calmness, his personality and his communication with us in the months leading up our wedding. Shawn was successfully able to stick to the classic ceremony that we wanted but also worked with us to bring some personal touches to our ceremony. We received several compliments on our ceremony from our wedding guests! We would highly recommend Shawn and his team (including Pia who booked our wedding date/time/officiant) at Young Hip & Married. -

My husband and I were recently married by Shalom, an officiant at Young, Hip & Married. She was so pleasant, professional and guided us through the process so that we felt at ease and genuinely excited. Even though we didn't write our own vows, Shalom had made the ceremony and vows so tailored to us and what we wanted, it took away (some) of the nerves for me and it felt so "us." This is such a special and unforgettable moment for couples, and Shalom was an amazing officiant to have standing up there with us. Highly recommend! -

Shalom and the YH&M team made our wedding day on August 30 exactly how we had envisioned it! They were timely with their initial responses and worked with our budgeting as well!
Shalom made our ceremony extra special and we couldn't have asked for anything or anyone better! She is super sweet, fun and helped us so much with all the unknowns about a ceremony. Thank you so much for helping to make our wedding day the best day of our lives! -
