Choosing Shawna to officiate our wedding was one of the best decisions we could have made. From the very beginning, she made us feel so comfortable, heard, and genuinely cared for. She took the time to get to know David and me, our story, our relationship, and everything that brought us to our wedding day.
Our ceremony was absolutely beautiful and so incredibly personal. Shawna has a true gift for storytelling and connecting with people. She kept everyone engaged, laughing, and emotional in all the right moments. So many of our guests came up to us afterward just to tell us how amazing the ceremony was and how much they enjoyed her.
What makes Shawna so special is that she doesn’t make you feel like you’re just another couple she’s marrying. She truly invests her heart into the people she works with. Her warmth, kindness, humour, and the perfect touch of sass made our ceremony feel completely us.
She didn’t just tell our love story — she felt our love story, and she told it in a way we will cherish forever.
We are incredibly grateful that Shawna was such an important part of our wedding day. She went above and beyond in every way, and somewhere along the way, our wedding commissioner became a friend.

Shawna is truly amazing!
Shawna was very kind and responsive since the moment we spoke for the first time. You can tell how much she cares about her job and the couples. She is always positive and super professional. She helped us stay on track to have a very stress-free wedding. I can’t recommend her enough. She’s definitely one of the reasons that our wedding day went so smoothly.Weddingbella's reply:
Congratulations Farnaz and Arman. You were both so chill and relaxed....even when we had to delay the start time due to one of your witnesses running late. I heard he was travelling beside an RCMP all the way to your venue so he couldn't even "try" to get their earlier. haahaa. Sometimes timing is everything. It all worked out great and your friends and family enjoyed a unique Engish/Persian wedding ceremony that you meticulously planned. Being invited to partake in cocktail hour and experience your amazing traditional food was a new experience...one which will stay with me for a very long time. THEN...being invited to dance your traditional dance with you and the wedding party was such an honour (even though I chose to watch from the sidelines). Shawna was so professional! She was so wonderful to work with, and assist with planning our ceremony. She had so many suggestions for the ceremony ideas- which we loved! She was so organized, was great with communication, and was so great with everyone as we got ready for the ceremony, and helped us with being prepared! It was so great to meet with her prior to, and she didn’t make us feel rushed whatsoever! She went over all of the questions we had! We highly suggest Shawna!Weddingbella's reply:

Short notice, Great response
Weddingbella (Shawna) was absolutely wonderful from the beginning of our wedding planning to the end. We contacted Shawna in the morning, she responded right away, that evening we met with her, our marriage licence was completed and our wedding ceremony planning was underway. Shawna has a great personality and made us feel comfortable right from the start. Throughout our planning Shawna helped us with connections to other venders and responded right away to all of our questions. The day of our wedding was stress free and wonderful because of Shawna and we knew she had everything under control. Shawna is a true professional in every manner. We will be forever grateful for everything she did to make our day beautiful.Weddingbella's reply:

She was very professional and had different budget options. Always answering in a timely manner. she came dressed appropriately and was kind and helpful.Weddingbella's reply:

Thankfully we had shade and since it was a Mini-Matrimony ceremony, we got you and Laurence married quickly. Next up....your tropical ceremony next year!! We decided to get married while I was visiting my (now) wife on vacation before traveling to another province. Shawna got back to us within an hour late at night and was able to schedule to marry us in just two days time. Originally it was supposed to be the next day but she was also very flexible and accommodating to our plans changing. We didn't have any witnesses so as she was walking to us to meet in a nice spot at Kildonan Park, she met a couple who were on a walk who agreed to be our witnesses on the spot. Overall a wonderful experience and we would greatly recommend Shawna's services.Weddingbella's reply:
Ahhh....you're ceremony was a new one for me!! I've had "witness lotteries" where I've pulled names out of a hat, or "can I get a witness" game during ceremonies, but I've never plucked complete strangers off a park bridge on a Sunday morning before! Had a tight window we needed to get married and not a lot of notice but Shawna called very soon after I reached out to her and she was able to help us. We just had a simple signing but she made it very specialWeddingbella's reply:
Lilya and Andrei....I am SO happy that you reached out to me and between the two of us, we were make your 26 hour window to secure a marriage license and get you two married in time. While I wasn't able to provide you with the license, the legal wedding at Tim Hortons the following day was fun! Lianne and Kai, my clients that day were thrilled to be your witnesses and you looked like a beautiful blushing Bride holding the flowers Lianne bought for you. A touching last minute ceremony
Shawna from Wedding Bella was able to squeeze my fiance and me in for a quick ceremony within days. She was warm, friendly and gracious, and really knew how to direct the ceremony. Although it was quick, the ceremony was moving and special. Shawna is the consummate professional, and is warm and caring. The cost was very reasonable, and well worth it. 10/10!Weddingbella's reply:

The Quickie ceremony at your friends house was exactly what you wanted before you celebrate with friends and family later in June (this weekend I believe is your symbolic ceremony). You and Delia are clearly in love and were ready to take the next step in your relationship. I'm glad that I was able to make room in my calendar for you lovebirds. Clarence was a blessing I never saw coming!! After I discovered that he could play piano by just hearing a song once, my mind went into high gear and we came up with Canon in D Major, which he played beautifully leading up to your "I do's". Thank you for choosing me as your Officiant. Wishing you both many years of love and happiness. -
