Barbara is a wedding officiant, who performs intimate ceremonies for 2-25 people in Ottawa and surrounding area. Ceremonies start at $150 for a ceremony with the couple and witnesses. $200 for elopement with a few guests or $300 for a mini wedding ceremonies (or minimony:) for up to 25 guests.
Barbara is also available for couples who wish to have a friend or family member perform their symbolic wedding ceremony and require a licensed officiant to complete the legal requirements of the marriage. Based and operating out of Ottawa, Ontario, Barbara has been working in this field since 2006 and has united hundreds of couples in marriage.

Barbara is an ordained wedding minister, licensed with the province of Ontario. She offers personalized and customized as well as traditional and creative ceremonies for intimate weddings.
How she works
Ceremonies starting at $150. This wedding Minister/Officiant is licensed to officiate for all couples who are not connected to a church or who do not wish to be married at Ottawa City Hall.

Barbara was an absolute pleasure to work with! We wanted our friend to perform the ceremony, but still needed an officiant present on the day to make everything legal. Even though Barbara did not perform our ceremony, she was always available to answer questions, and still helped me write my ceremony, providing guidance and templates, and ensuring all of our pre and post wedding paperwork was taken care of. I would absolutely reccommend Barbara! She was also way more pleasant to deal with than some of the bigger local companies we looked into.

The wedding was beautifully conducted. We got in contact with Barbara 1.5 months before our wedding, which gave us ample of time to prepare and customize our vows. The ceremony was short sweet and exactly how we dreamt of.

Barbara was lovely and very professional. She gave us no problems or extra worries. She stuck to the script that she let me edit and re-write parts of. I appreciated that she let me be as anal as I wanted. We wrote our own vows which was amazing.

My husband and I were married on NYE during the day and Barbara made it extra special! She really got to know both of us and was very accommodating in all areas of the wedding ceremony itself! Barbara officiated our wedding and did an incredible job. After being together for 10 years and coming from 2 different religions, we wanted a ceremony based on love and not religion. She was able to create a beautiful ceremony that was very intimate and personal for us that focused on our love for one another. Barbara is very professional, warm and caring and makes you feel very comfortable with her. She created the perfect balance of laughter and crying for our guests. We still receive compliments about our ceremony. We highly recommend Babara if you would like to have your ceremony captured to your exact vision!
