Have you ever met someone and immediately wanted to be their friend? That's Beth for us: the ultimate friend-crush.
Beth was everything we could have hoped for in an officiant. From the first conversation, she made the whole process feel thoughtful, relaxed, and personal. She asked such intentional questions and really listened, then wove our story into a ceremony that felt like us... honest, warm, and full of heart.
On the day itself, she brought a calm, steady presence that helped ground the moment. She spoke with such clarity and care that it felt like she’d known us for years. Our guests were convinced she must be a longtime friend, and several were visibly surprised when she said, “Nice to meet you!” at the end.
We feel so lucky to have found her. Friends were asking for her contact before we even made it to dessert, and honestly, we hope to see her again at the next wedding.Pride + Joy Ceremonies's reply:

Beth was such a wonderful addition to our special day.
It was a small, intimate gathering, at our home and Beth fit right in. Her introduction speech was eloquent and moving, and it set the scene for what quickly became a tearful ceremony with heart-filled vows.
I appreciate that she asked us before we got started how we wanted to be referred to once she pronounced us married, that the paperwork was dealt with so promptly, and that never once was there any pressure to act or perform any kind of way. My wife and I were both lost in our joy, and Beth allowed us to exist in the moment whilst gently guiding us through the ceremony.
100% would recommend to everyone, and if we were to ever renew our vows, we would absolutely work with Beth and Danice again :-) -

My partner of 34 years recently took ill to a degree that was, literally, life threatening. He spent 10 days on life support and sedation in Intensive Care, during which time my first though was, should he survive, we bloody well need to get MARRIED! To my surprise, the first day he came out of sedation, he took my hand and proposed, unprompted by me.
The sense of urgency to make this happen then kicked in, and I contacted the hospital's Spiritual Health workers in order to help expedite a quickie nuptial. They were responsible for getting us in touch with Beth from Pride + Joy, and we couldn't have been more fortunate.
She made herself available for the last minute ceremony, coming in to visit at the hospital to spend time with us and discover who we are, and what we mean to each other. She was so sensitive and insightful in terms of discovering the nature of our relationship, and some key details of our history. Based on this conversation, she crafted a service that was nothing less than exceptional.
She managed to script our wedding ceremony into something that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Those present were all deeply moved by the grace and thoroughness with which she carefully illuminated our unusual and complex relationship. She made it fun, insightful, and emotionally impactful.
Neither myself nor my partner are truly capable of expressing our gratitude and joy at having been so fortunate as to have Beth preside over one of the most important days of our 34 year relationship.

Beth is an incredible wedding officiant! They were so thoughtful, kind, flexible and responsive throughout the entire process and I love that they donate a portion of their fees. They really got to understand who we were as a couple, our story and crafted a ceremony script that made us cry with joy and that really captured our hopes for the ceremony. Honestly, my now wife and I both feel so blessed and appreciative for Beth and Danice. They were so kind, helpful, and fun to deal with from the very beginning. They truly get to know you, making the ceremony custom and detailed to each person. They both made the whole process as easy and stress free as possible. Beth really took the time to get to know who we are and what made us great as a couple! She interviewed us and spoke with many of our loved ones to create a totally customized wedding ceremony. Many of our guests commented afterwards that it was the nicest ceremony they had been to.
