Hi, I’m Shannon, the person behind Married By Shannon. I am an Ontario wedding officiant registered with the Togetherness Collective. I love creating ceremonies that feel genuine, personal, and reflective of the couples I have the privilege of marrying.
Married By Shannon is built around two distinct collections, each designed for a different kind of wedding experience.
MARRIED IN ONTARIO For couples who have their wedding plans in place and are looking for an officiant to bring their ceremony to life. I work closely with each couple to create a ceremony that feels meaningful, joyful, and true to who they are.
ELOPE IN ONTARIO For couples who want something smaller, simpler, and a little more adventurous. These intimate, all-inclusive experiences bring together the essentials, from the outdoor setting and ceremony to professional photography, so you can focus on the excitement of getting married without taking on all the planning yourself.
Whether you're planning a big celebration or something beautifully small, I want your ceremony to feel like your relationship, your story, and your kind of day.

Shannon is simply the best
She had us complete a questionnaire that was not only enjoyable to fill out, but also allowed her to create a ceremony that felt deeply personal and uniquely ours. Because we chose to do private vows, Shannon thoughtfully wove many of those personal elements into the ceremony, which made it even more meaningful and emotional.

Hi, I’m Shannon, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve been marrying couples for 10 years now, and somehow, I still get ridiculously excited about the little things, a beautiful ceremony setup, a great love story, a perfectly timed joke, or that moment when a couple realizes, we’re actually married! The little things that actually are not so little.
When I’m not writing ceremonies, I’m happiest outside exploring Ontario. I love a good hike, wandering through beautiful forests, finding a quiet lakeside beach, and taking in all the places that make this province such a beautiful backdrop for a life (and a wedding!).
And a few things that will always make my day better? An iced coffee, a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, and discovering something unexpectedly wonderful in the middle of an ordinary day.
After a decade of officiating, what I love most are the couples I work with, hearing the stories behind their relationship, and creating ceremonies that feel natural, meaningful and completely their own.
If you’re looking for an officiant who will be fully invested in your day, make you feel comfortable, keep things relaxed, and probably get a little too excited about the details right alongside you, I think we’ll get along just fine.
