I found Irene on Wedding Wire and I'm so glad that I did! Before the wedding, she has a planning session with you and goes over everything that you'd like and if you're unsure - she can give you suggestions.
We did a rehearsal the day before, which she was a part of, and she went through everything with us multiple times. This made us much more comfortable the day of!
We decided to do private vows and recite one of her "standard vow" options at the altar. Prior to this, she let our guests know that we did private vows earlier in the day. We did not want any religious pieces in our ceremony, and that's exactly what we got with Irene. She checked in on us before the ceremony and asked if we had any last-minute questions (we didn't, because we had gone over everything multiple times the day before).
The ceremony itself went off without a hitch. She welcomes everyone, reviews "housekeeping" items and talks you through everything (repeating after her during the ceremony). We had multiple compliments from our guests that this was the best wedding ceremony they had been to - because there wasn't any filler or extras - it was just exactly what we wanted. Short, but heartfelt.
Irene is a professional and you will not regret booking her for your wedding! -

September Elopement
Irene was the perfect officiant for us! We felt so confident with her guidance and support throughout our small elopement ceremony. She was so positive, warm and welcoming. She even helped me get the perfect picture with our rings and bouquet! She put us at ease and made the whole process nonstressful, so we could truly just enjoy the moment. I would 100% recommend her! -

Irene was flat out amazing to work with! From taking things completely in stride when she arrived to find the bride not dressed, dealing with a hair emergency, to helping organize the wedding party down th aisle she helped our wedding go off without a hitch.
Her professionalism was great, while she still retained warmth.

From the beginning, Irene was incredibly flexible and gave us all of the information that we needed to make our day run as smoothly as possible. She made sure that we had exactly as we wanted for our ceremony and really helped getting our bridal party and everyone in order! Everything goes so fast, but Irene made sure that we still felt every beautiful moment of our ceremony and union becoming husband and wife. -

Irene was very friendly and professional. There was an issue with our marriage certificate from Vital Statistics, and she went out of her way to get it fixed before our ceremony. -

Irene was exactly what we wanted in a wedding officiant! Leading up to and on the day, tasks pile up and details can be stressful to keep track of. Irene met with us briefly ahead of time to get the details down for what we wanted our ceremony to look like, and gave us easy directions for what was needed and when. On the day, she was so helpful in directing the wedding party (including four little children) on how to make it down to the aisle, when music should be played, and even instructing guests on how to take part in a Polish wedding custom. We especially loved that she created little certificates of appreciation for our nephews and niece who took part in the ceremony as ring bearers and flower boy and girl. If you hire Irene, she will make your wedding day less stressful while making sure it is exactly what you want!
