Christina Swindells-Nader, Lay Chaplain, is registered to officiate weddings in Winnipeg, Manitoba, as a lay chaplain for the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Winnipeg. As a 2SLGBTQQIA+ ally, with extensive training in ritual design and performing officiant duties, I will work with you to design and create a wedding ceremony or other rite of passage that:

• is welcoming, inclusive, and authentic
• reflects your values and principles
• incorporates cultural traditions that are meaningful to you
• meets your ritual and spiritual needs, whether you are an interfaith or multifaith couple, deeply religious, agnostic, spiritual but not religious, humanist, or some mix of any of those
• supports your family dynamics and meaningfully involves children or other loved ones

The lay chaplaincy role exists because UUs believe everyone has a right to a rite. My standard fee for weddings starts at $300, but I will work with you to find solutions if you have economic barriers to hiring a wedding officiant.
