Professional Bio
Hans brings a lifetime of service, leadership, and personal commitment to his role as a registered Wedding Officiant.
His professional journey began with a distinguished career in the Royal Canadian Air Force, where he served Canadians as an Aerospace Engineer. That experience shaped his strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and dedication to helping others.
Following his military career, Hans continued his entrepreneurial path by starting a hot tub business in Barrie, which he successfully operated for 15 years before selling it. Through that business, he built lasting relationships with clients and developed a deep appreciation for providing personal, reliable service.
Today, Hans remains active in aviation as a qualified Drone Pilot and Flight Reviewer with Transport Canada. He is also a qualified Examiner for the Radio Operator Certificate – Aeronautical, helping others meet important aviation communication requirements.
Becoming a registered Wedding Officiant was a very personal decision for Hans. Over thirty years ago, his own marriage ceremony was performed by a Wedding Officiant, and the personal touch provided during that special day left a lasting impression on both Hans and his wife. The guidance they received helped them navigate the many details and legal aspects of their wedding, easing the pressure and allowing them to focus on the meaning of the moment.
After years of serving Canadians through the Air Force, Hans wanted to continue giving back in retirement. Becoming a Wedding Officiant has allowed him to do just that in a meaningful and heartfelt way. Whether assisting with weddings, vow renewals, or dedication ceremonies, Hans finds great joy in helping individuals and couples celebrate life’s most important moments with warmth, respect, and care.
