Catherine Hardman is a wedding officiant based in Stratford, Ontario, and has worked in the field of addictions and mental health for 35 years. It is a population I am passionate about as I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect, dignity, kindness and compassion, regardless of their story.

I am licensed through Humanist Canada and the Province of Ontario. Humanism is a secular worldview and progressive philosophy of life based on respect for human dignity and the belief that, as humans, we are ultimately accountable to ourselves and society for how we live in the world. I'm excited to be a Humanist Officiant as humanist principles and values reflect how I live my life—being accountable for how I am in the world and equally holding others accountable for their actions, leading with kindness and compassion and continuously learning.

I have a great sense of humour and enjoy travelling, so although I live in Stratford, I'm willing to travel within Ontario. I also enjoy reading, music and playing games or just hanging out with family and friends.

To be the Officiant at a couple's wedding, one of the most significant days of their life, is a privilege. To get to know and understand their story, their hopes and dreams for the day, and their lives is very special and something I'm honoured to do. I'll work with you to develop the ceremony that is meaningful to you and reflects your values and the love you have for each other. We will start with a meeting to get to know each other and to help me understand your story and what you want your wedding ceremony to be.
