  BUYER BEWARE: Please read if you are considering hiring them

  If you're in need of a quartet who will play the classics, popular wedding music within their usual repertoire, then they are great.
  But, if you ask for songs that are not in their usual repertoire be warned
  
  Despite me asking if they had experience playing Catholic weddings or feasibility/comfort in playing music outside of their repertoire, they ruined some could have been beautiful moments. I shared sheet music for 2 hymns months and months in advance. The owner assured me they can learn it and practice it. But lo and behold, on my wedding day it was so obvious they lie and don't actually do this. They probably learn it the day before the wedding day and then show up and play. Their cellist was the most problematic - and so obvious because it's the cello, the loudest instrument of all. He was off and just playing all the wrong notes and absolutely ruined and butchered the hymns provided. The lead violinist (the owner) had to overcompensate, playing louder in efforts to drown out the horrible cellist, but still it was so obvious. I was absolutely mortified.
  When I provided this feedback after my wedding, in a nice and professional, understanding way, the owner had the nerve to blame it on the acoustics -- it's a church where some of best musicians and choirs perform ?!?? and he also blamed it on the professional singer we hired, saying she was not following or that she couldn't hear them--when she was literally right beside them. I've worked with this professional singer before and she knows how to keep up with musicians and still make songs sound beautiful.
  I was appalled by the lack of professionalism and lack of accountability. He didn't even say sorry but instead comes up with lame excuses. I have a musical background and know when people like him will bullshit you. So beware before booking this group.
  I was so looking forward to beautiful music at my wedding, only for this quartet to ruin it. All they had to do was practice - which should be standard for musicians, you would thing. It was the most simplest song, to boot

  Truely Gifted Professionals

  The Aurora String Quartet was an absolute pleasure to have at our wedding. Their talent and extensive repertoire of both classical and popular pieces created the perfect ambiance for our ceremony. They even went the extra mile to learn a few special pieces that were meaningful to us as a couple. When our ceremony was unexpectedly delayed, they gracefully continued playing, keeping our guests entertained and maintaining the beautiful atmosphere. We highly recommend them for any event where elegance and exceptional musicianship are a must!

  Beautiful music for your event!

  These three amazing string players welcomed the guests to our wedding celebration so wonderfully, filling the room with beautiful music. Not to mention, they are amazing to work with and so kind and accommodating. I hope one day our paths cross again and I will be recommending them to anyone who needs lovely live music for an event!

  Unforgettable musical talent

  The Aurora Quartet was a stunning addition to our cocktail hour at Hotel X! It was always my dream to have a string quartet for my wedding and Aurora Quartet went above and beyond my expectations. They played a medley of recent musical hits and all my guests commented on what a unique and memorable addition they were to the wedding. Thank you Aurora Quartet for adding to the magic of our wedding day!

  Absolutely loved them

  Aurora quartet was amazing! If you’ve been on the fence about hiring a quartet just book them. Added such an elegant but fun touch to our day.

  Fantastic!!

  The Aurora Quartet performed at our wedding ceremony and they were AMAZING in every single way!! Absolutely perfect!! Not only was the music BRILLIANT but their level of customer service was exeptional. Next time I need a string quartet, I won't have to think twice about hiring them again :)

  Fantastic addition to our ceremony!

  Rod was great at communicating prior to our wedding and asked us to provide song choices for what they could play. They played all of the songs that we requested- no matter how difficult or unique they were! They set up easily at the venue with no issues. I was busy getting ready and it was such a relief that I didn't have to worry if they were there, or set up on time. They spoke with our officiant to ensure timing and cueing was organized. They played as guests entered and throughout the ceremony. They got every cue and it added such an amazing ambiance to our ceremony. They were such a great addition and I would recommend them to anyone looking for strings during their wedding! :)

  Simply beautiful!

  Aurora Quartet was so amazing! We Rod just on his own for our rehearsal, and just that alone made me tear up in how beautiful it sounded. Imagine that with a 3 piece string trio.... AMAZING! We hired a Trio strings for the church and then a duo for our cocktail hour. Our guests gushed at how beautiful it sounded and how amazing they are. It really added the ambiance and feel we wanted our wedding to feel. Rod worked with us on the repertoire to play. It was so easy because he literally can play ANYTHING!! We are so thrilled to have met Rod and his team. Thank you Rod and team! I can't wait for to find the next event to have you perform at :)

  Beautiful String Trio Music

  Aurora Quartet recently performed at our downtown Toronto wedding ceremony. I received several compliments after the ceremony, telling me just how elegant and beautiful the music was. They were extremely responsive and happily accommodated my music requests. I never actually got to meet them as they dealt with my coordinator and I was otherwise preoccupied during the ceremony (!) but I could tell that they knew exactly what they were doing. I highly recommend!

  Aurora was great at communicating prior to our reception and asked us to provide song choices for what they could play. They set up easily at the venue and played where the guests entered and near the bridal suite. The duo (cello and violin) both sounded great and provided a nice ambiance to our event and guests commented that they enjoyed the music a lot.
